Senior Manager Card Sales
Job Purpose Statement
Drive
Card Portfolio growth through effective new credit card acquisition strategies,
Customer Management, Card usage, drive strong Portfolio Performance and
Profitability.
Develop
strategies for card business to ensure the business achieves its set budget
figures and set card sales targets for card business and branches assigned
while ensuring that policies and guidelines are adhered to.
Develop
and execute card spend and utilization initiatives while driving the various
card income lines.
Develop
and execute strategies to drive credit card book growth.
Take the lead in developing new card products to ensure the bank offers a compelling card product proposition that will grow the business.
Work
with other business departments and ensure end to end needs for the customer
are met.
Keep
track of staff performance and provide coaching & guidance to the team on
how to execute card strategies to ensure achievement of set targets.
Keep
track and report on competitive activities in the field and suggest operational
changes that make the bank more competitive and pleasant.
Ideal Job Specifications
Academic:
A
Bachelor’s degree in a business related field
Professional:
Master’s
Degree in business related field will be an added advantage
Desired work experience:
At
least 10 years banking experience with at least 3 years in people management
role
A
detailed knowledge of the card business and in-depth understanding of Visa
operations.
General
awareness of the Bank’s products and services and up to date knowledge of the
competitive
market trends and the general market as a whole.
Demonstrated
successful track record on delivery of results with the ability to work well in
a
team,
as well as manage multiple priorities in quick time frames.
Excellent
communication & interpersonal skills coupled with the ability to deal
professionally,
confidently and effectively with stakeholders at all levels, internally and
externally
and to establish new client relationships and generate new business.
