Electrical Technician Job in Kenya

Job Summary

To assist in projects, repairs and support smooth operations of Head Office and medical centres.


  • Ensuring installation, repairs, maintenance and service of electrical equipment and proper functioning of all electrically powered equipment, appliances and installations.
  • Interpretation and Implementation of electrical blue prints as directed by line manager.
  • Actively participate in implementation of energy management best practises and goals.
  • Maintaining and repairing all electrical distribution boards, consumer units and control panels.
  • Installing and maintaining electrical/electronic plant equipment like diesel generators, UPS systems, and water solar heating systems.
  • Conducting electrical safety tests on electrical equipment.
  • Observation of SOP’s, Health & Safety guidelines and PPE’s during execution of duties.

  • Supervise contractors as directed by immediate supervisor, ensure contractors sign work permits and stipulated Health & Safety guidelines.
  • Carrying out preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Ensuring safe location of critical electrical equipment and installations.
  • Maintaining job cards for each job assigned.


Requirements –Education, Skills and Experience:

  • Certificate/Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
  • At least 2 years’ relevant experience.
  • Must have knowledge in use of MS office packages
  • Must demonstrate ability to execute work assigned with minimum supervision
  • Must be a team player who is able to work cordially in teams
  • Must demonstrate ability to multi-task and multi-skill
  • Must be a flexible person who is willing to learn and able to work flexible hours and multiple locations to achieve goals
