Risk Management and Quality Assurance Officer Post (1)

Duties and
responsibilities
- Implementing of quality assurance and risk management
strategies, policies and procedures to ensure achievement of objectives;
- Carrying out risk assessments for various processes in the
Institute;
- Champion monthly review of controls and report on
effectiveness of the controls;
- Monitoring adherence to quality systems and comply with brand
standards, governmental controls and ISO quality standards and maintaining
requisite documents;
- Implementing Quality Systems;
- To ensure that only products that meet the company’s quality
standards are produced and delivered to customers;
- Providing timely feedback on potential quality deviation and
providing support for rectification of anomaly;
- Assist to roll-out risk awareness initiatives;
- Obtain and consolidate the various risk and compliance
reports from the various departments/units to ensure proper documentation;
- Updating Directorate/Departmental and corporate risk
registers;
- Assist with administrative aspects of the risk and compliance
unit;
- Work with external parties to investigate and provide
evidence where a breach of controls has been identified;
- Develop and monitor due diligence procedures and KYC
documentation that will be used for on boarding of business partners;
- Defining quality procedures in conjunction with operational
and technical staff,
- Maintaining controls and documentation procedures and
policies;
- Implementing annual quality assurance and enterprise risk
management plan;
- Carrying out quarterly routine awareness programs to
management on risk management;
- Carrying out quarterly audits to ensure compliance with ISO
procedures;
- Conducting and scheduling effective training for staff in
regard to quality management systems and risk management;
- Preparing of reports for each quality assurance and risk
management assignment to risk/process owners; and
- Monitoring implementation of agreed risk management
mitigation measures with risk/process owners.
Requirements for
Appointment/Person Specifications
For appointment to this
grade, a candidate must have: –
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Science such as Finance,
Economics, Information Technology, Business Information Technology,
Statistics, Business Studies, Project Management, Social Sciences, Natural
Sciences or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
- Professional certification in risk management;
- Proficient in computer applications;
- Meets the requirements of Chapter 6 of the Constitution;
- Experience in designing, documenting and implementing risk
management systems;
- Ability to analyse data and identify trends and patterns;
- Ability to adhere to a code of ethical conduct; and
- Attention to detail.

- Clearance from recognized Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)
