Clinical Officer
The Institute of Energy
Studies and Research is looking for a qualified clinical officer to work on
locum/Part-time basis at the Institute of Energy Studies and Research. A
clinical officer meeting the following specifications is eligible.
Key Responsibilities
- Discharging clinical services to students, staff and
their dependent’s
- In liaison with the dean of students arranging for
insurance cover for students when they report to the Institute
- In liaison with the dean of students administering the
student’s group personal accident insurance scheme
- Maintaining accurate medical for staff and student
records in the Institute
- In liaison with Dean of students Procuring drugs and
medical accessories for use in the Institute
- Maintaining records of drugs, accessories and equipment
in the clinic
- Ensuring adequate stock levels and mix of drugs in the
clinic
- Carrying out periodic stock taking of the drugs in the
clinic
- Liaise with IESR security officer at the Institute to
ensure security of the clinic at all times
- Providing health education to students and staff in the
Institute
- Maintaining high standards of hygiene in the clinic
Qualifications
- Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery from a
recognized institution.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience at a busy clinic/hospital
- Registered with Clinical Officers Council
- A valid practicing license
- Knowledge of non-communicable diseases (NCD) management
- Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision
- Outstanding patient interaction/customer care skills
are a MUST.
- A Result oriented team player
- Demonstrable leadership, Organization and
decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and in a big team
