Our Client is a Training institution on digital programs.

They are seeking to hire AWS Trainers to deliver digital skills boot camps to learners that wish to level up their skills, enter a new career or enter the job market.

The digital skills boot camps can be delivered online or in person and will be built around the Amazon Web Services re/Start curriculum.

Roles and Responsibilities

Mobilization and Training

  • Mobilizing through communities and other avenues to invite Youth to benefit from the free Training e.g. through pitches, activations or exhibitions of the Program
  • Experienced trainers with good knowledge of Cloud technologies especially Amazon Web Services with a keen ability to communicate thoughts and knowledge and has a passion for people development.
  • Create training strategies, initiatives, and materials.
  • Test and review created materials.
  • Maintain a database of all training materials.
  • Designing projects and assisting learners in project work.
  • Review students’ performance and learning.
  • Should be able to handle End to End Training - Course Content Preparation, Material Preparation, Interview Questions, Mock Interviews, Live Projects Explanation, etc.
  • Conducting interviews to select suitable candidates for the program.
  • Candidates with excellent communication skills and a passion for teaching and technology.
  • Designing training programs based on the needs of the organizations.
  • Technical analytics skills
  • Should have experience in giving training through online Platforms i.e. Teams, Webinars, Meet, Zoom, etc.
  • Assess individual and group Training needs and provide recommendations.
  • Organizing and delivering quality Virtual Training and ensuring an 80% completion rate for registered Youth undertaking the Training

Mentorship and Work Linkages


  • Conduct mentorship for each trained individual as per the mentorship guidelines.
  • Assess the level of skill acquisition of the mentees.
  • Submit weekly reports on the progress of each cohort being mentored.
  • Organize and coordinate job linkages webinars for the trainees.
  • Link the trainees/mentees with work opportunities.
  • Report on impact stories from the trainees

Technical skills required

  • B.Sc./MS in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering or any related field
  • AWS SysOps Administrator – Associate certification or AWS Solution Architect – Associate Certification active through the duration of instruction. AWS
  • Professional level certifications in Solution Architect or DevOps are also accepted.
  • At least one year of experience in technical IT content delivery covering at least five of the seven areas mentioned below is essential:
    • Linux Operating System
    • Scripting languages such as Shell and Python
    • Networking and Security concepts
    • Relational Databases
    • Programming languages preferably Python
    • DevOps Concept and Processes of Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
    • Cloud computing platforms preferably AWS
  • Your communication and interpersonal skills will be outstanding and support your ability to deliver interesting and purposeful lessons to a diverse range of learners
