A medium sized but busy civil and structural engineering consultancy firm in Nairobi seeks to recruit a competent, highly motivated and result oriented individual for the position of Structural Engineer.
Reporting to the senior engineer the successful
candidate will be responsible for the following functions;
Preparation of detailed civil drawings and designs
in respect of projects undertaken by the company,
Preparation of structural drawings and designs.
Preparation of project reports
Structural assessments and peer reviews
Undertaking in-house design reviews,
Attending to site inspections and site meetings.
Dealing with clients and other consultants, where
necessary, in the course of the project,
Preparation of contract documents and any other
related documents,
Conducting, coordinating & analyzing site
quality control tests as maybe required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
At least four years relevant work experience in
civil and structural design and detailing of building structures and civil
works in a busy design office.
Conversant with site inspection and quality control
procedures
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrates sound work ethics, honesty and
integrity.
Be proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D & REVIT
