Junior CNC Laser Engineer
About
the role
BURN is looking for a Junior CNC Laser Engineer who will work closely
with the laser team in operating and ensuring that all laser-related equipment
is functioning well.
Duties and
Responsibilities
Responsible
for optimizing the production laser CAD files for both
cutting & marking lasers.
Responsible for ensuring all
laser-cutting & laser-marking files are properly stored &
well-categorized for seamless execution.
Responsible for the integrity of the
CAD files on the server as well as on the local storage
Responsible for ensuring lasers are
operational & make parts to the desired quality level.
Help in developing CAD drawings for
production tests, ECNs & TPDs
Assist in conducting RCA for any laser
CAD files related issues.
Work with the laser engineer in
developing the official parts nesting for production.
Work on a continuous improvement plan
on the quality of lasered parts & the lasering process
Training laser operators on all
aspects of Laser operation, safety & quality
Work on building a laser team that is
knowledgeable, flexible, and dependable.
Help in developing SOPs for
Laser-cutting & laser-marking.
Maintain an up-to-date database of all
SKUs for all products for the finished goods end process execution.
Respond to emergency calls for laser
cutting & laser-marking issues.
Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in electrical and
Electronics Engineering or in a relevant field.
Relevant experience working as a CAD
technician.
Design background
Experience with lasers
Knowledgeable on Bodor and
XT laser machines
Knowledgeable on AutoCAD
and Solid Works
