Vacant Position: Clinical Officer

Purpose of the Job: The Clinical Officer will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical care to patients.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

Providing clinical care to patients, including diagnosing and treating illnesses, injuries, and other medical conditions.

Conducting physical exams and ordering diagnostic tests as needed.

Developing and implementing treatment plans for patients.

Collaborating with other healthcare professionals in the Clinic to ensure that patients receive comprehensive and coordinated care.

Providing patient education and counseling on a range of health-related topics.

Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records.

Adhering to all applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards related to clinical practice.

Review of patient’s history and clinical presentation to ascertain the correct investigations, diagnosis and management plan.

Diagnosis of illnesses and institution of the correct management including conducting minor procedures, resuscitation and all other medical treatment as per the treatment protocols.

In collaboration with the rest of the clinical staff, receive and attend to patients requiring emergency medical attention.

Whenever necessary, refer patients for further management in higher level institutions.

Conduct follow ups and report all complications in writing within or before the end of current duty.

Implement a smooth, efficient client flow to minimize client waiting times.

Participate in quality improvement activities.

Attend and participate in weekly Continuous Medical Education (CME) sessions at the hospital.

Ensure infection prevention strategies are observed by other health professionals.

Ensure that the patient's confidentiality is upheld.

Respond to emergencies promptly.

Any other duties assigned by the In Charge Medical Doctor.

Requirements:


Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Medicine.

Valid clinical officer license from a recognized regulatory body.

1- 2 Years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting.

Strong clinical skills and ability to diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate medical records.

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Ability to be a good team leader.
