Kenya Development
Corporation (KDC), is a premier Development Finance Institution (DFI)
incorporated on 27th November 2020 following the merger of Industrial &
Commercial Development Corporation (ICDC), IDB Capital Ltd (IDB) and Tourist
Finance Corporation (TFC). The Corporation’s mandate is to promote sustainable
socio-economic development by providing development finance, infrastructure finance,
business support and advisory services to medium and large-scale industries,
infrastructure projects and commercial undertakings in target sectors in Kenya
and elsewhere.
As part of our
strategic realignment, we believe that attracting and retaining the right
people is essential to the realization of our corporate goals and therefore
must have in place, world-class human resources.
KDC therefore invites
applications from qualified professionals for the following positions:
Duties and
Responsibilities
Undertaking
Feasibility studies, and developing business plans for potential customers;
Reviewing
stalled and ailing projects and advise the KDC on how to rehabilitate them;
Undertaking
entrepreneurial development through non-financial support;
Undertaking
enhancement of business plans for KDC’s prospective clients;
Developing
turnaround plans for distressed clients applying for finance from the
Corporation;
Offering
client readiness support to bring a funding application to a bankable stage.;
Undertaking
business diagnosis to identify gaps and opportunities in
governance,
strategy and management of the business;
Supporting
businesses to undertake analysis, design and implementation of business
solutions to close identified gaps and pursue identified opportunities.
Advising
investee companies and other enterprises on optimizing business operations
through interventions such as business process re-engineering, supply chain and
logistics management, operational efficiencies improvement, productivity
improvement, pricing strategies, sales and channel effectiveness, customer
relations management, and capital expenditure planning.
Providing
business enabling systems and tools such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP),
financial and human capital systems, mentorship and coaching, corporate
governance and business management training.
Identifying
income generating programs including share registration, company secretarial
services and book keeping for investee and associate companies of KDC.
Qualifications
Master’s
degree in relevant field from recognized field.
Bachelor’s
Degree in any of the following fields: Business, Finance, Commerce, Economics,
Marketing or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution;
A
minimum period of eight (8) years relevant work experience four (4) of which
should have been at the level of supervisory level;
Management
Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution;
Member
of a relevant professional body in good standing where applicable;
Shown
merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results;
Proficiency
in computer applications; and
Fulfil
the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution
