Assistant Finance Manager Job in Kenya

Kentegra Pyrethrum Company Limited located in Nakuru is looking for an Assistant Finance Manager for its team.

The overall responsibility for this role is to manage the field office by providing financial and administrative support.

The Key roles for this position are to:-

  • Prepare field budgets and manage implementation of the same.
  • Prepare regional managements accounts for analysis.
  • Co-ordinate with procurement on the procurement cycle
  • Reconcile field related payments via M-Pesa and check off.
  • Generate farmer transactions as per standards
  • Compile and generate all staff payments and ensure accountability.
  • Reconcile differences between flower purchases and deliveries to the factory.
  • Support data entry, track and report field databases as directed.
  • Ensure all KPCL assets are insured and following up on claims.
  • Facilitate ERP implementation and support so as to achieve its strategic objective
  • Participate in writing grant funding proposals and keep track of the status of each proposal.
  • Provide on a timely basis all required updates/reports to the grant organizations.
  • Monitor grant milestones/grant conditions to ensure the grant tasks are accomplished in a timely manner
  • Ensure procurement of grant related items conform to contract guidelines
  • Maintain grant-related records, including contracts and change orders
  • Manage proactively all grant related relationships, activities and requirements
  • Manage and maintain an efficient office filing system
  • Ensure the office is clean and habitable at all times.
  • Support all administrative functions facilitate smooth running of the Nakuru field office.
  • Support other field activities as directed

Qualifications and work experience required for this role


  • First Degree in a business related field from an accredited institution.
  • MUST be a CPA Finalist.
  • At least 5 years relevant hands-on experience
  • Experience in working with grants is an added advantage
  • High level of accuracy
  • High level of integrity
  • Office administration and management
  • Good Interpersonal and Communication
  • Experience in reporting and data presentation
  • Good in analysis
  • Ability to make decisions on issues
  • Ability to plan, multi-task and manage time effectively.
  • Motivated and self-driven.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and database
  • Proficiency with field data collection tools and systems
