Position: Project Assistant (Kenya Nationals Only)
Location: Segera Conservancy, Laikipia County
Reporting to: Program Manager

To support its objectives, the
ZEITZ foundation is looking for a qualified candidate to fill the position of
Project Assistant.
About the Role: Under the guidance of the Program Manager and the
Project Administrator and Coordinator, the Project Assistant will support the
execution of operational and administrative tasks.
The position is offered on a
full-time basis (one year contract including a three-month probation) renewable
subject to performance and availability of funding.
Working Relationships
The role holder will have close
working relationships with the Project Coordinator and Administrator, Community
Liaison Officers, Forestry Supervisors, Ranch Management and Retreat
Management.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide project management support in the implementation of
the ZEITZ foundation’s projects with guidance from the Project
Administrator and Coordinator.
- Work closely with the ZEITZ foundation’s Community Liaison
Officers and the Forestry team in community engagement and project
implementation.
- Work closely with the ZEITZ foundation’s Forestry team in
project implementation
- Provide support in project monitoring and evaluation
activities through data collection and analysis.
- Provide support in project reporting through regular written
and verbal status updates.
- Provide support in project and visitor logistics and
administration with guidance from the Project Administrator and
Coordinator.
- Work closely with the team in the implementation and
monitoring of specific 4C initiatives.
- Document program updates through photos and videos for the ZF
website, social media, donors, local and international press.
- Any other tasks as assigned by the ZEITZ foundation’s
management.
The ideal candidate must have the following minimum qualifications:
- A degree or diploma in international development, community
development, conservation, environmental studies, project management or
related fields
- At least one year of work experience in a similar context.
- Experience with reporting
- Experience with monitoring and evaluation
- Good analytical and communication skills
- Advanced computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office
- Strong people skills & ability to take initiative
- Ability to network with stakeholders at different levels
- Fluent in Swahili and English (written and spoken)
- Ethical responsibility (Fair, Honest, Positive, Creative)
