The County Government of Tana River pursuant to Section 59(1) (a), (b) and 66 of the County Government Act 2012 as read together with Article 235 of the Constitution of Kenya 2010, wishes to recruit competent and qualified persons to fill the following vacant positions
V/NO. 031/2023: MORTICIAN
II J/G ‘C’ (2 POSTS)
Responsibilities
- Picking
bodies from wards;
- Admission
of bodies to mortuary;
- Recording
and documenting data;
- Identifying
medico-legal cases;
- Preparing
bodies for burial including embalming;
- Body
reconstruction;
- Body
cleaning and dressing;
- Beautification-shaving,
cosmetic/make-ups and plaiting;
- Assisting
pathologist in Autopsy/post-mortems;
- Cleaning
of mortuary and equipment and instruments used in the mortuary;
- Assisting
relatives in the identification of unknown bodies;
- Any
other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
For appointment to this
grade, an officer must have: –
- KCSE
Mean grade D plain or any other equivalent qualifications from a
recognized institution
- Certificate
in Mortician Course lasting not less than six (6) months from a recognized
institution;
- Certificate
in computer application skills;
