Job Title: MARKETING ASSISTANT

Basic job summary:
The School of Tourism and Hospitality is
looking to recruit a marketing assistant on temporary basis who will support
the marketing activities of the school. The marketing assistant will have a
good understanding of the hospitality and tourism industry and will have the
ability to assess the needs of the client and market the STH programs towards
achieving the target numbers. They will also build and cultivate sustainable
key relationships with potential partners, both internally and externally.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Business development:
- Carrying out sales and marketing
activities, identifying and following up on sales leads aimed at
generating more business opportunities for growth and development.
- Maintaining and developing
relationships with new and existing clients;
- Developing and build industry
linkages.
- Identify and attend networking
activities to interact with potential clients.
- Identify, propose and explore new
opportunities for training and executive education.
- Prepare and submit a marketing strategy
and report to the marketing executive for oversight and guidance.
- Participate in and coordinate
internal and external marketing events for the school in collaboration
with the marketing executive.
- Program Management and
administration:
- Ensure that the admission process
is follow and executed from start to end in line with the procedures.
- Verify all documents received as
part of the admission processes and in liaison with the admissions office.
- Working closely with support
departments like communications and marketing to ensure marketing
materials are procured in time and as per the guidelines provided.
- Continually devise ways to
increase customer satisfaction and deepen client/partner relationships and
maintain lasting client and partner relationships.
- Support the marketing executive
in the establishment and running of the STH alumni chapter and events.
- Budgetary Responsibilities:
- Responsible for Revenue targets
and achievement of target student numbers.
- Report and discuss activity
schedules and plans, within budget parameters by working with the school
manager and the team to establish and achieve revenue goals.
- Other Duties: Perform other duties as may
be assigned by the supervisor.
Minimum Academic
Qualifications:
Academic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a
business-related course with a minimum of Second Upper Class.
Professional Certification and Training
- Professional course in a
marketing-related field will be an added advantage
Work Experience
- At least five (2) years relevant
industry working experience – with proven track record in business
development, managing client relationships and account management
- Experience in digital marketing
and the strategic use of social media and other digital services as
business tools will be an added advantage
