The

The
hospital seeks to recruit an ideal candidate for the following position: –
Radiographer – Catheterization Laboratory (1 Position)
The job holder will perform all cardiac catheterization related radiographic and fluoroscopic imaging procedures.
The
successful candidate will work in collaboration with interventional
radiologists and other specialists to diagnose a variety of medical conditions,
with the support of complex diagnostic medical equipment and procedures.
Job
Summary
· Performing
and assisting with obtaining hemodynamic data, digital angiograms, and
supporting patient care
· Performing
interventional radiographic procedures and participating in lifting and
transporting patients to and from imaging devices and procedure room.
· Reporting
incidences of equipment failure or related irregularities in equipment
performance to
supervisors and/or quality control personnel as soon as possible
· Correctly
positioning patients and adjusting diagnostic equipment prior to imaging to
obtain high quality images.
· Interacting
with patients to offer them physical & psychological support and addressing
their concerns regarding an imaging procedure.
· Undertake
complex radiological examinations – including working with Interventional
Radiologists and surgeons.
· Maintaining
standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the working environment and of
equipment.
· Take
active part in clinical audits where appropriate and strive for professional
excellence.
Required
qualifications, attributes, and experience.
Education
· A
minimum of a Diploma in Medical Imaging Sciences.
· A
minimum of 2 years’ cathlab experience.
· Knowledge
in computer applications.
Skills
· Basic
Life Support skills.
· Confidence
in using leading-edge technologies.
· Excellent
interpersonal and communication skills in order to explain procedures to
patients.
