Principal Corporate Communication Officer
Responsibilities
The duties and
responsibilities of the officer will entail:-
- Developing
Corporate communication policy, strategies, procedures, and systems;
- Developing
brand strategies and implementing brand communication plans, monitoring
their implementation, and evaluating effectiveness
- Developing
and reviewing corporate social responsibility programmes and monitoring
their implementation in consultation with directorates/departments and
evaluating their impact
- Reviewing
and overseeing the implementation of complaints handling guidelines and
ensuring compliance with relevant policies and legislation
- Monitoring
the implementation of customer service standards and compliance in the
organization
- Preparing
and reviewing budgets, departmental procurement plans and preparing terms
of reference/specifications
- Undertaking
regular brand/customer surveys and ensuring recommendations are implemented
- Manage
crisis communications
- Developing
corporate event plans with budgets and timelines and overseeing their
implementation
- Coordinate
the preparation of information, education, and communication materials in
consultation with directorates/departments;
- Representing
KRB in public events
- Promoting
a positive corporate image of the Board;
- Implement
quality management systems and procedures in the department
- Monitoring
departmental performance and preparing evaluation reports
- Supervising,
developing, and motivating junior staff to improve performance
Qualifications
For appointment to this
grade, a candidate must:-
- Have
at least eight (8) years’ work experience, three (3) of which must have
been in a supervisory role;
- Bachelor’s
Degree in public Relations, Mass Communications, Journalism, Marketing or
equivalent qualifications from a recognized college;
- Master’s
degree in public Relations, Mass Communications, Journalism, Marketing or
a relevant field from a recognized institution
- Be
Member of professional body either PRSK or IPRA in good standing;
- Management
course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution.;
- Fulfil
the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution;
