Development Officer
Terms
of Engagement: 3 years Renewable Contract
Job
Purpose: The purpose of the role is to develop and oversee the execution
of Marketing and Business development strategies leading to business growth
through market expansion, competitive products, and maintenance of positive
customer relationships, all geared to achieving Society’s goals and objectives.
Key
Responsibilities
· Developing
and implementing Sacco’s marketing, and business development strategy.
· Developing
and implementing the Business Plan with a focus on growing business volumes,
customer base
· Spearheading
development and review of products and solutions tailored to meet customers’
needs and requirements.
· Ensuring
that the business development team is delivering as per the targets set and in
line with customers’/members’ expectations
· Carry out market research to determine the overall demand for the company’s products, future product developments and business opportunities
· Collecting
and analysing market intelligence and using the same to enhance SACCO’S
competitive strategies
· Develop
and implement initiatives for maintaining strong relationships with existing
customers as well as develop new relationships that guarantee business growth.
· Identify
new marketing opportunities and ensure the effective development and promotion
of the Society and its products;
· Provide
strategic guidance on marketing, communications and business development
opportunities that are effective and generate positive and measurable results;
· Develop
and implement an appropriate marketing communication and brand strategy in line
with the Society’s strategic plan;
· Develop
and implement the marketing plan in line with the business growth objectives;
· Enhance
customer experience through effective customer relationship management
· Ensure
that the customer experience is given top priority and develop proper feedback
mechanisms
Requirements
· Bachelor’s
degree in Marketing/Business Administration from a recognized institution.
· At
least 4 years of Banking/SACCO experience in a marketing and Business
Development role.
· Team
player with excellent planning, organization, communication and interpersonal
skills
· Results
driven with a track record of demonstrable networking, selling and ability to
identify new opportunities.
· Proven
experience in customer and market research
· Must
have demonstrated ability to handle departmental budgets, resources, processes,
projects and relationships
· Must
demonstrate the ability to handle multiple and conflicting priorities, and work
under strict deadlines.
· Should
be an effective communicator with the ability to handle both internal and
external communication
