Veterinary Officer
Responsibilities
- Implement
animal disease control activities, strategies and policy frameworks
- Organize
and undertake vaccinations against Livestock diseases
- Undertake
Livestock disease surveillance
- Coordinate
Vector control
- Undertake
livestock movement control
- Undertake
animal welfare and protection activities
- Supervision
of sub county staff, interns and attachment students
- Coordination
of performance management in the subcounty veterinary activities
- Undertaking
postmortem examinations and diagnostic tests
- Providing
advice on animal breeding and welfare
- Implement
any other relevant county/sub-county activities as may be assigned by the
supervisor
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s
Degree in Veterinary Medicine.
- Registered
with Kenya Veterinary Board and with a valid practicing license
- A
member of Kenya Veterinary Association/Board
- At
least 2 years’ experience in similar job.
- Good
communication skills,
- Report
writing skills
