Responsibilities

Implementing fisheries Policy and research.
Developing Monitoring, Control and Surveillance (MCS) strategies;
Coordinating protection of fisheries ecosystem;
Management and licensing of fisher folk and fishing vessels;
Coordinating the establishment of technical committees on fish quality and safety;
Compiling, reports and briefs;
Supervising staff in the ward
Implementation of Government projects.
Promoting fish farming (Aquaculture) in the Sub County;
Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting of fisheries policies and Programmes;
Promoting ornamental and sport fisheries in the county

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Fisheries Management or any other related field
Must be at least 2 years’ work experience in related field
Computer literate with knowledge on related computer packages
Possess Proposal development skills,
Good Communication skills,
Report writing skills
To have resource mobilization skills
