Responsibilities
- Implementing
fisheries Policy and research.
- Developing
Monitoring, Control and Surveillance (MCS) strategies;
- Coordinating
protection of fisheries ecosystem;
- Management
and licensing of fisher folk and fishing vessels;
- Coordinating
the establishment of technical committees on fish quality and safety;
- Compiling,
reports and briefs;
- Supervising
staff in the ward
- Implementation
of Government projects.
- Promoting
fish farming (Aquaculture) in the Sub County;
- Monitoring,
Evaluation and Reporting of fisheries policies and Programmes;
- Promoting
ornamental and sport fisheries in the county
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s
Degree in Fisheries Management or any other related field
- Must
be at least 2 years’ work experience in related field
- Computer
literate with knowledge on related computer packages
- Possess
Proposal development skills,
- Good
Communication skills,
- Report
writing skills
- To
have resource mobilization skills
