Senior, Risk and Compliance Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor
all operational, market and credit risk aspects for the KCB Capital
subsidiary of the KCB Group
- Ensure
that all reports regarding the above risks are submitted in a timely
manner where they are required by either the Executive Director of the
subsidiary, Group Functions, Chief Risk Officer, Market Risk Officer or
Company Secretary
- Report
all key exceptions that are not corrected to Executive Director, Chief
Risk Officer, Company Secretary and Chief Internal Auditor
- Daily,
weekly and monthly production and distribution of Risk and Compliance
Reports to both the Executive Director of KCBCL and Group Head of Market
Risk. Further on a weekly basis prepare the same for the Group Head of
Operational Risk and a Quarterly Report to Chief Risk Officer and Director
Internal Audit
- Prepare
a report to the KCBCL Investment Team regarding the legal aspects of all
proposed deal structures as regards their suitability
- Policy
review and development on a needs basis
- Liaise
with internal/external auditors and regulators where appropriate
- Support
the Executive Director to ensure compliance with the Group Compliance
Policies, Accounting and Operating Procedures and Codes including Money
Laundering.
- Any
other duty as may be assigned by the Managing Director on ad hoc basis.
Qualifications
For the above position,
the successful applicant should have the following:
- Bachelors’
Degree from a recognized institution.
- Must
have professional qualification in Risk Management, CPA (K), CPS(K) or
equivalent
- Minimum
Seven (7) years’ experience in the Capital Markets sector, five (5) of
which should be in Risk Management
- Ability
to think through a situation, anticipate business risks and develop
adequate mitigating risk management controls.
- Knowledge
of operations of the Capital Markets Authority, Nairobi Security Exchange
and Central Depository Settlement Corporation
- Knowledge
of the regulatory environment
- Have
thorough understanding of Capital Markets products and services.
- Have
experience and relationships with Capital Markets regulatory authorities.
