Job Description

  • Examine weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual sales reports to identify sales patterns and areas for improvement, comparing actual sales data to revenue projections and expectations
  • Assess market data, including competitors, to identify areas where BIC can leverage for stronger business performance
  • Use historical sales data and market trends to develop forecasts and projections
  • Develop reports showing expected sales and the potential effects of new strategies to aid in decision-making
  • Work closely with marketing, sales, management, and other stakeholders to develop forecasts and examine the potential revenue effects of various proposals
  • Regularly prepare reports and presentations for executives and other company leaders including reports on market performance, competitor research, and general sales trends
  • Present actionable information and insights to team members and management
  • Contribute to the development of sales plans and objectives
  • Be the liaison person between various departments such as Marketing, Sales, Finance etc. by providing varied business reports to aid related business decisions
  • Work closely with the Uganda, Tanzania, and Ethiopia Implants to analyze business data in their various markets
  • Be in contact with the Sales Managers of the various BIC East Africa Limited distributors to support them in data analysis

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, marketing, sales, or a related bachelor’s degree from a reputable institution of higher learning
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Sales Analyst or a similar role
  • Data analysis – ability to assess data sets and identify patterns and opportunities for improvement
  • Strong presentation skills – ability to present findings, along with forecasts and projections, to executives and management personnel
  • Communication skills – excellent written and verbal communication to work with departments and personnel across teams and business lines
  • Team coordination – ability to coordinate team activities and have strong leadership skills
  • Financial forecasting – effective projection and forecasting skills to guide investment and help BIC better utilize cash and personnel
  • Strong knowledge of word processing (e.g., Microsoft Word), Microsoft Excel, spreadsheet, database management and related software, presentation software etc.
  • Advanced problem solving and analytical skills
  • High level of organization and detail-orientation
  • Ability to complete complex and high-pressure tasks
  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information
  • General understanding of relevant legislation governing the use of data within the scope of operation
