Bancassurance Underwriting Officer
PURPOSE:
This role entails
underwriting general classes of insurance for both bank and non-bank clients,
to offer wholesome insurances which in return increases and retains income to
Bancassurance.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Reviewing
insurance applications for compliance and adherence.
- Placing
businesses with Insurers
- Preparing
renewal schedules and obtaining quotes for competitive insurance premiums
and sharing with Clients
- Obtaining
rates from the insurance companies and preparing quotation for new
businesses
- Arranging,
preparing of renewal register and renewing of existing businesses
- Creating
Customers in CRM system, debiting/endorsing policies in GIS system
- Checking
policy documents to ensure the terms, conditions and warranties are
favorable to our clients.
- Regular
dispatching of policy documents and endorsements to Customers,
- Following
up on documents from various insurers after placing covers
- Timely
issuance of Motor Certificates and sharing with Customers
Academic Qualifications
- College
Diploma and Certificate of Proficiency in Insurance
Professional Qualifications
- At
least 5 years relevant experience.
- Certificate
of Proficiency in Insurance or an equivalent professional qualification
Skills and Attributes
- Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent
knowledge of insurance policies and ability to relate policy provisions
- Ability
to make logical, rational and sound judgment.
- Team
Player
- Proficiency
in Microsoft Office
- Basic
data analysis skills
- Self-driven
individual
