KMET prides itself in making deliberate efforts to come up with health innovations targeting underserved communities in both the private and public health sectors within the laid policy frameworks.

The positions are to start in January 2023 for a One-year renewable contract based on performance.

Background

KMET anticipates funding to implement an Integrated Adolescents Sexual Reproductive Health Services Program that aims at increasing access to Quality Sexual and reproductive health services and information taking a Human Centered Design approach in Bungoma, Busia, Vihiga, Homabay and Marsabit Counties.


The program builds on previous successful initiatives supported by KMET to expand sexual and reproductive health care services for the Adolescent girls and young women.

The program is expected to ensure that adolescents and young women are able to safely plan their pregnancies and improve their sexual and reproductive health, particularly the young and marginalized.

Data Officers (3 Positions)

Purpose of this position

Reporting to the Head of MEL, Data Officer will be responsible for the documentation and compilation of timely program data and reporting of activities at project-supported sites using ERP platforms.

The incumbent will be based in respective county.

Main Duties

·  Data entry into the program databases – ERP and any other data management system.

·  Track submitted data and share the reporting rates with the MEL Officer for follow up.

·  Perform data quality audit and control procedures.

·  Preparing daily and weekly reports

·  Ensure mobiles phone/technology deployed for programs implementation is accessible and equipped with current hardware and software.

·  Trouble shoots all technology issues including hardware, software, and network operating
System on the ERP platform and mobile phones.

·  Provide training and orientation to new users, project participants and staff on various technologies.

·  Build capacity through training and mentorship of providers in the facilities supported in the county.

·  Participate in stakeholders’ activities to ensure incorporation of the Program activities into the sub-county and county level workplans.

·  Work closely with County health records officers (CHRIO) to manage data quality and ensure all the facilities utilize data for decision making.

Desired Minimum Qualifications

·  A holder of a Diploma in Computer Science (IMIS), Mathematics, Statistics, or a related fields connected to data management studies.

·  Minimum of two years’ work experience in a public/private government health facility with different EMR systems and proficient in accessing, copying and cleaning of EMR.

·  Excellent knowledge and experience in at least one statistical analysis package (SAS, STATA, and SPSS): experience in managing electronic data collection in clinical settings added advantage.

·  Demonstrated analysis, communication, interpersonal, report writing and presentation skills.
