Kenya Development Corporation (KDC), is a premier Development Finance Institution (DFI) incorporated on 27th November 2020 following the merger of Industrial & Commercial Development Corporation (ICDC), IDB Capital Ltd (IDB) and Tourism Finance Corporation (TFC). The Corporation’s mandate is to promote sustainable socio-economic development by providing development finance, infrastructure finance, business support and advisory services to medium and large-scale industries, infrastructure projects and commercial undertakings in target sectors in Kenya and elsewhere.

SENIOR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT OFFICER, GRADE KDC 5 (2 Posts)
Job purpose
The Senior Business
Development Officer will be responsible for origination of new business
opportunities and provision of advisory services to ensure sustainability of
the established businesses. They will also be responsible for developing
policies and strategies for business development.
Responsibilities
- Develop
business and marketing plans in collaboration with other departments to
achieve revenue
- Ensures
continuous Identification of potential business investment opportunities
for
- Analyze
the product deficiencies in order to provide recommendations for problem
- Promotes
KDC’s brand image to the general
- Participates
in business development
- Undertake
corporate and product promotional programs
- Assess
effectiveness of various product distribution channels
Qualifications
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: –
- Bachelor’s
Degree in any of the following fields, Business, Finance, Commerce,
Economics, Marketing or equivalent qualifications from a recognized
institution;
- At
least four years work experience
- Supervisory
course lasting not less than two (2) weeks
- Proficiency
in computer applications; and
- Fulfilled
the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution
