We are pleased to announce the vacancy of a Senior Civil Works Engineer within the Technology Division. In keeping with our current business needs, we are looking for a person who meets the criteria indicated below.
Brief Description
Reporting to the Senior
Manager Acquisition and Rollout, the position holder
will manage the Roll-out process of delivering new Safaricom Base
Transceiver/Repeater Stations and other civil works related tasks in existing
Safaricom network towards delivering an integral quality network within
specified guidelines, timelines and budget
Responsibilities
- Ensure
that all Multi Skilled Visits / site surveys and designs are carried out
timely and the appropriate drawings are provided as per the Safaricom
specifications and requirements.
- Ensure
adequate Supervision in the construction of all Safaricom Rollout sites, with
adherence to quality with timely delivery and OSH.
- Ensure
Documentation of & adherence to all rollout processes and accurate
update of rollout information database/folders.
- Control
costs & budgets for all Civil Works related projects.
- Continuously
review site build specifications/processes in view of making improvements
- Ensure
adequate training for the construction Tea
Qualifications
- Degree
in Bsc Civil Engineering or equivalent qualifications.
- At
least 5 years’ experience site construction and supervision – preferably
in the Telecommunication industry.
- Construction
Management qualification an added advantage.
- Registered
Engineer (G) with ERB. or Equivalent
- Good
understanding of the building bylaws
- Proficient
in Site Design and Drawing Software
