Records Management Officer – One (1) Post V/No. 7/2022

The National Research Fund (NRF) is a State Corporation established under section 32 of the Science, Technology and Innovation Act No. 28 of 2013 with the objective to facilitate Research for the advancement of Science, Technology and Innovation.

The Agency seeks to recruit qualified, competent, dynamic, proactive, innovative and highly committed staff to fill the position of Records Management Officer.

Job Specification

The duties and responsibilities of the Officer will entail:- 

  • Ensuring letters are appropriately filed and marked to action officers; 
  • Controlling opening of files and updating file index; 
  • Ensuring security of information/files in the registry; 
  • Up-dating and maintaining up-to-date file movement records and ascertaining the general cleanliness of the registry;
  • Recording of incoming and outgoing mail; and
  • Maintaining an easy file retrieval system.

Applicant Specification

For appointment to this grade a candidate must have: – 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information studies or any other relevant Degree;
  • Proficiency in computer applications; and
  • Fulfil the requirements of Chapter 6 of the Constitution.

    5. Clearance Certificate from a Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)
