Finance Internship

Responsibilities

  • Provide support in preparation of financial reports in the accounting and finance system as per the instructions of the supervisor.
  • Filing of statutory returns
  • Recording and maintaining accurate and complete financial records
  • Excellent working knowledge of quick books
  • Stay up to date with current tax legislation and ensure that the Company meets its tax reporting and payment requirements as set out by KRA
  • Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable
  • Assist in performing monthly bank reconciliation
  • Assist in Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance
  • Support month-end and year-end close process
  • Maintain adequate filing system of all financial documents & data entry
  • Any other role assigned from time to time by your reporting head

Profile

  • Must have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA-2) certificate is preferred
  • Knowledge of accounting procedures & familiarity with financial accounting statements
  • Practical working knowledge of QuickBooks will be an added advantage
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Accuracy and strong attention to detail
  • Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
