DIRECTOR SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT SERVICES JOB GROUP “R” (ONE (1) POSITION)
Responsibilities
  • Ensuring adherence to the laid down procedures, rules and regulations;
  • Analyzing the impact of Supply Chain Management policies, rules and regulations;
  • Advising the Accounting Officers on Supply Chain Management standards;
  • Assisting in procurement planning and budget preparation;
  • Advising departments on Supply Chain Management matters and interpreting of other laws and statutes that impact on Supply Chain Management
Qualifications
  • Be a Kenyan Citizen
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following: – Commerce, Business Administration, Economics, Procurement and Supplies Management, Marketing or their equivalent qualification
  • A Master’s degree in any of the following: – Procurement and Supply Management, Business Administration, Commerce, Logistics and Supply Chain Management or any relevant field will be an added advantage
  • Must have served in the grade of Deputy Director Supply Chain Management Job Group “Q” or in an equivalent and relevant position in the Public Service for a minimum period of three (3) years and five (5) years in the private sector
  • Must have attended a Senior Management Course (SMC) and Strategic Leadership and Development Programme (SLDP) from Kenya School of

DEPUTY DIRECTOR SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT-JOB GROUP’ Q’(ONE (1) POSITION)
 Responsibilities
  • Analysing Supply Chain Management structures and systems;
  • Determining and proposing methods and strategies of handling the Supply Chain Management function;
  • Initiating and developing Supply Chain Management policies and performance improvement strategies that are adoptive to the changing environment and technology;
  • Coordinate development of strategic plans for the Directorate of Supply Chain
  • Implementation of the Public Procurement and Disposal Act,2005 and other statutes, rules and regulations and ensuring adherence to the laid down procedures, rules and regulations;

Qualifications

INFORMATION OFFICER II, JOB GROUP “J” -2 POSTS
Responsibilities
This will be the entry and training grade for Information Officers. An officer at this level will be deployed either at the County Headquarters or in a field office to assisting information services work.
Duties and responsibilities will include; Gathering news, Verifying authenticity of news; initial editing and dispatching news and features to the Departmental Headquarters and media houses.
Qualifications
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must:
  • Be a Kenyan citizen;
  • have Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (K.C.S.E) a minimum of C+ in English or Kiswahili and C in any other relevant subject or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution;

SENIOR INFORMATION OFFICER, JOB GROUP ‘L’ – 2 POSITIONS
Responsibilities
The Duties and responsibilities will entail management of news i.e. receiving, selecting, re-writing, translating and editing news and features; ensuring quality dissemination of news; and supervising, guiding and coordinating staff and other resources in the office. Will also be charged with updating and maintaining the County website.
Qualifications
For appointment to this grade, an officer must:
  • Be a Kenyan citizen;
  • Have served in the grade of Information Officer I or in a comparable and relevant position in the Public Service for a minimum period of three (3) years;
  • Have a Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines, in the case of serving certificate holders: Journalism, Mass Communication, International Relations, Communication Studies, Public Relations or its approved equivalent from a recognized institution;
  • Possess good oral and written communication skills in both English and Kiswahili;

SENIOR PUBLIC COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER – JOB GROUP “L” – 2 POSTS
Responsibilities
  • Gathering information on programmes and significant events within the county Government and the impact on customers, and forwarding the same to the head of a Public Communications Unit within the county for dissemination;
  • Assisting in the development of communications and media strategy; editing stories on various topical issues before they are released to the public
  • liaising with media practitioners and the public on issues of mutual concern in the county

OFFICE MESSENGER JOB GROUP ‘D’ – 2 POSITIONS

COOK, Job Group ‘F’- 2 POSITIONS
Responsibilities
  • Maintaining hygiene by ensuring cleaning of the kitchen and its surrounding
  • Proper storage of foodstuffs and setting up buffet services areas
  • Placement of food service line, replenishing of foodstuffs during service and reporting low stock levels.
  • Detecting and reporting spoil or unattractive food and detecting defective equipment and reporting the same to the supervisor

ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER III, JOB GROUP H – 3 POSITIONS
 Responsibilities
  • It will entail administrative duties including general office administration,
  • Assets management and inventory. In addition,
  • Planning and maintaining security;
  • Co-ordination and organization of County Government functions;
  • Mitigating disaster;
  • peace building initiatives;
  • Coordinate compilation of annual reports;
  • Coordinate performance management and overseeing implementation of County Government development
Qualifications

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:-
  • Be a Kenyan Citizen
  • A diploma in the following discipline Public Administration, Business Administration/Management, Community Development any Social Science or its equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution; and
  • Proficiency in computer applications from a recognized institution

INFORMATION OFFICER III, (SOUND TECHNICIAN), JOB GROUP ‘H’ – 1 POSITIONS
Responsibilities
  • Operating the digital recording system and ensuring general safety of the machine
  •  Gathering news, verifying authenticity of news; initial editing and dispatching news and features
  • Maintaining the cleanliness of the recording machines and equipment.
  • Testing of the machines and charging the digital recorders
  • Operating public address system in the Chamber
Qualifications
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must:
  • Be a Kenyan Citizen
  • Have Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (K.C.S.E) mean grade C with a minimum of C+ in English or Kiswahili and C in any other relevant subject or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution;

DRIVER II, JOB GROUP “E”- 1 POSITION

Responsibilities
  • Driving a motor vehicle as authorized, carrying out routine checks on the vehicle’s cooling, oil, electrical and brakes systems, tyre pressure,
  • Detecting and reporting malfunctioning of vehicle systems,
  • Maintenance of work tickets for vehicle assigned,
  • Ensuring security and safety for the vehicle on and off the road,
  • Safety of the passengers and or/goods therein and maintaining cleanliness of the vehicle
Qualifications
For direct appointment to this grade, a candidate must have
  • Kenya certificate of secondary education mean grade D plain or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
  • Served in the grade of Driver III for a minimum period of three(3) years
  • a valid driving license free from any current endorsement(s) for class(es) of vehicle(s) an officer is required to drive
  • Passed occupational trade test III for drivers
  • attended a first aid certificate course lasting not less than one(1) week at St john ambulance or Kenya institute of highway and building technology (KIHBT) or any other recognized institution
  • passed suitability test for drivers grade 111

DIRECTOR ADMINISTRATION (LIAISON) JOB GROUP ‘R’- 1 POSITION
 Responsibilities
  • Coordination of liaison matters for efficient engagement with officials from other Governments, development partners and including officials from diplomatic missions;
  • Ensure that relations with other Governments and international organizations are carried out in accordance with standard liaison practices;
  • Extend efficient and effective liaison services in accordance with standard practices;
  • Facilitation of official engagement between County Governments with other visiting Governments, foreign officials and Diplomatic Corps;
  • Provide liaison advice and services to County Government and the public;
  • Coordinate State/Official visits, both inbound and outbound;

  • Ensuring that core information for sectors is available;
  • Identifying the requirement for collecting baseline data, preparing terms of reference for and arranging the conducting of a baseline survey for service delivery;
  • Overseeing and executive Monitoring and Evaluation activities with particular focus on results and impacts as well as lesson learnt;
  • Ensuring timely communication of Monitoring and Evaluation findings at all levels;

Responsibilities
