Principal Administrative Officer

JOB GROUP CPSB 06 `N’
Number of Posts: Four (4)
Terms of Service: Five (5) Years Contract
Remuneration: As provided for by the Salaries and Remunerations Commission
Responsibilities
The officer in this position will serve as a Sub-County Administrator and shall be responsible for the coordination, management and supervision of the general administrative functions in the sub-county unit, including —

  • Development of policies and plans;
  • Coordination of service delivery at the Sub County;
  • Developmental activities to empower the community;
  • The provision and maintenance of infrastructure and facilities of public services;
  • Exercise any functions and powers delegated by the County Public Service Board under section 86; and
  • Facilitate and coordinate citizen participation in the development of policies and plans and delivery of services.
Qualifications
For appointment to this position, an officer must be in possession of the following minimum requirements:
  • Be a Kenyan citizen
  • Served at the grade of Chief Ward Administrator/Chief County Administrative Officer or in a comparable position in the public/private sector for a minimum period of three (3) years;
  • Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines:- Public Administration, Business Administration/Management, Community Development or any other Social Science from a recognized institution;
  • A Certificate in Senior Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks or a professional management course from a recognized institution will be an added advantage;
  • Proficiency in computer applications; and
  • Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
  • Satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution

Ward Administrator I

JOB GROUP CPSB 09 `K’
Number of Posts: Twenty (20)
Terms of Service: Five (5) Years Contract
Remuneration: As provided for by the Salaries and Remunerations Commission
Responsibilities
The officer in this position will serve as a Ward Administrator and shall be responsible for the coordination, management and supervision of the general administrative functions in the Ward unit, including —
  • Development of policies and plans;
  • Service delivery;
  • Developmental activities to empower the community;
  • Provision and maintenance of infrastructure and facilities of public services;
  • The county public service;
  • Exercise any functions and powers delegated by the County Public Service Board under section 86; and
  • Coordination and facilitation of citizen participation in the development of policies and plans and delivery of services.
Qualifications
For appointment to this position, one must be in possession of the following minimum requirements:
  • Served in an Administrative position or a minimum period of three (3) years
  • Diploma in any Social Science or its equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution;
  • Bachelor’s Degree in any Social Science will be an added advantage
  • A certificate in Supervisory Management Course or any Professional Management course will be an added advantage
  • Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results
  • Satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.

Assistant Enforcement Officer IIII

JOB GROUP CPSB 11 `H’
Number of Posts: Four (4)
Terms of Service: Four (4) Years Contract
Remuneration: As provided for by the Salaries and Remunerations Commission
Responsibilities

  • Enforcement of National and County laws and regulations as outlined under schedule four of the constitution of Kenya
  • Provide mentorship and guidance
  • Responsible for orderly conduct and discipline of junior officers
  • Evaluate officer’ s fitness for duty
  • Drawing and Supervision of work schedules and duty rosters
  • Shift supervisor
  • Undertake routine patrols and or guarding of access points and key strategic areas in County institutions and installations;
  • Execute all orders and warrants lawfully issued to county law breakers;
  • Ensure preservation of order and sanity in markets, bus parks and other business premises;
  • Conducting frequent inspections on regulated activities to ensure compliance.
  • Ensure orderly parking and traffic management in county town centers
  • Apprehension, undertaking investigations and prosecution of county law breakers;
  • Enforce county spatial and development plans and other relevant Acts;
  • Crowd control, collection of information and reporting on security matters;
  • Revenue enhancement through imposing prescribed penalties as per the law;
Qualifications
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must: –
  • Diploma in the following disciplines: Security Management and Police Studies, Criminology, Forensic psychology, Intelligence, military science, Crime Prevention and Management or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
  • Must be physically fit
  • Must meet the requirements of chapter six (6) of the Constitution
  • Certificate in computer applications.
  • Be aged 18-40 years.
  • National Youth service training will be an added advantage

Enforcement Assistant III

JOB GROUP CPSB 15 `D’
Number of Posts: Thirty Six (36)
Terms of Service: Four (4) Years Contract
Remuneration: As provided for by the Salaries and Remunerations Commission
Responsibilities
