Administrative Officer

Main Purpose Of The Job
The person will be the first point of contact for the channel. Our Administrators duties include offering administrative support across the organization, HR duties and all day to day administration related activities. You will also coordinate front-desk activities, including distributing correspondence and redirecting phone calls
Responsibilities
·         Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at the office
·         Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office
·         Keep a record of all library related materials
·         Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls
·         Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g. pens, forms and brochures)
·         Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email
·         Receive, sort and distribute daily mail/deliveries
·         Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk (monitor logbook, issue visitor badges)

Broadcast Engineer

Main Purpose Of The Job
Responsible for setting up, maintaining, and operating and IT and Broadcast related systems.
Will also facilitate the production process through the provision and operating of equipment needed for the success of productions.
Responsibilities
·         Maintain logs of production activities

·         Monitor strength, clarity, and reliability of incoming and outgoing signals and adjust equipment as necessary to maintain quality broadcasts.

Responsible for driving revenues and sales related activities, development and implementation of longterm integrated marketing and customer satisfaction strategies for the channel. The individual will also in close coordination with sales and marketing personnel seek areas of new business and deliver on agreed sales targets
Responsibilities
·         Implement annual and quarterly sales and marketing objectives (forecasting and developing annual sales targets for the channel, projecting expected sales volumes for existing and new products and services).
·         Develop, manage, coordinate and implement marketing strategies, plans and campaigns to be aligned with brand objectives

Content Manager

Main Purpose Of The Job
Acquires, produces, schedules, coordinates and monitors all channel content. Prepares and updates schedules, screens and acquires programs and participates in program productions.
Responsibilities
·         Previews and evaluates local, unsolicited independent, television programs to determine appropriateness for station usage.
·         Ensures program quality for broadcast by deciding whether program tape or film is technically acceptable.
·         Participates in program acquisition by recommending suitable programs for purchase.
·         Prepares and updates weekly/monthly program schedule by establishing program availability and determining the best time to air.

Main Purpose Of The Job
Responsible for the day to day support, maintenance & operations of a broadcasting and IT department including, managing and overseeing the budgetary and work activities of the broadcasting team, providing technical support and implementing broadcasting plans that include studio operations, transmission activities and maintenance functions.
Responsibilities
·         To put in place an effective studio system support and equipment maintenance plan.
·         To manage the TV production crew and all its technical and budgetary requirements on any given television production.
·         Organizes all the Television Production Operators (the TV crew), takes care of ‘day-to-day’ shift roster and staff issues in the television studio productions.
·         Supervises the physical aspects of the production (not the creative aspects), including operations personnel (technical operators), technology, associated budgets and studio as well as crew scheduling.
·         Makes sure that the scheduled production takes place within acceptable technical parameters and standards and that the right crew is assigned for the right productions.
·         Takes responsibility for creating the studio workflow structures, reviewing daily work schedules and performing resource management across both freelance and permanent crews (technical operators).
·         Prepares production plans in accordance with set operational procedures ensuring sufficient time allocation into studio and job fit of crew versus the type of production on hand.
·         Regularly keeps management informed about the status of Television Studio Production and Operational Requirements.
·         Responsible for the management of ‘day-to-day budget’ associated with the above, keeping operating costs, ad-hoc and everyday equipment rentals within check.
·         Evaluates technology proposals and solutions to establish appropriateness of solutions and standards.

·         Overall technical office maintenance e.g.: ACs, projectors, phone lines, IT issues, presentation gadgets, printers, power back up systems, among others.
Qualifications
·         Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Electronic or Computer Engineering OR
·         Broadcast Television Media Qualification in Technical Operations, Computer Systems with strong technical background in TV Studio Operations or Television Broadcast Technology environment.
·         General Management or Leadership qualification will be an added advantage.
·         7-10 Years’ experience in the Broadcast Industry
·         The incumbent needs a solid understanding of the technical processes involved in television production, including all the functional blocks that make up the studio systems, MCR, video switchers, audio production consoles, camera, lighting, graphics, editing, etc.
·         Good interpersonal and communication skills using the correct television studio terminology as it applies in broadcasting.
·         Have a methodical approach in dealing with complex broadcast projects.
·         Have strong IT skills and excellent knowledge of relevant computer packages.
·         Must possess the technical knowhow to access relevant television broadcast technical, operational and production information for dissemination to all parties concerned.

Technical Operating Officer
