Job Group ‘E’ – two (2) Posts.
Salary Scale Ksh 15,670 x 580 – 16,250 x 640 – 16,890 x 680 – 17,570 p.m
House Allowance:                     Kshs. 2,700 pm
Commuter Allowance:               Kshs. 3,000 pm
Leave Entitlement:                  30 working days per year.

Leave Allowance:                      Kshs: 4,000(twice per year)
Hardship Allowance                 Kshs:  3,700 pm
Responsibilities
 This will be the entry grade for the cook’s cadre. An officer at this level will be on job training and will carry out duties under the supervision of a senior officer.
·         Duties will include preparation of raw foods for cooking;
·         cleanliness of equipment used in production;
·         maintaining hygiene by ensuring cleaning of the kitchen and its surroundings;
·         setting up and preparing equipment for use in food preparation and production; and
·         alerting the supervisor of any defective equipment
Qualifications
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:-
·         Kenya Certificate of secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade ‘D’ plain or its equivalent qualification from recognized institution; and
·         Craft certificate in food and beverage production, sales and service or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution; OR
·         Attended a formal course lasting not less than two (2) months in food production organised by the Kenya Utalii college or other recognized institution.

Inspector (Electrical)

JOB GROUP ‘H’
SALARY SCALE: KSH.23,780X1,030-24,810X1,050-25,860X1,050-26,910X1,120-28,030X1,160-29,190 p.m
House Allowance: Ksh.3,200 P.M
Commuter Allowance: Kshs:4,000P.M
Leave Entitlement: 30 working days per year.
Leave Allowance: Ksh: 4,000(Twice yearly)
Hardship allowance:-Kshs. 6,600P.M
Responsibilities
 This is the entry and training grade into the cadre. An officer at this level will be on the job training and will work under the supervision of an experienced office. Specific duties will involve
·         the inspection and maintenance of electrical installations in Public buildings and Government Quarters;
·         testing and maintenance of electrical controls related to fire-detection equipment, cookers water-heaters and general domestic appliances;
·         inspection and maintenance of electrical controls in power generating plants and machinery.
Qualifications
·         For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have a Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technician Certificate Part III or equivalent and relevant qualification from a recognized institution.

Clerical Officer II

JOB GROUP ‘F’
SALARY SCALE: KSH.16,890 X 680-17,570X700-18,270X780-19,050X800-19,850X950-20,800 p.m
House Allowance: Ksh.3,000 P.M
Commuter Allowance: Kshs:3,000P.M
Leave Entitlement: 30 working days per year.
Leave Allowance: Ksh: 4,000(Twice yearly)
Hardship allowance:-Kshs. 4,300P.M
Responsibilities
This is the entry and training grade for the Clerical Cadre. An officer at this level may be deployed in any of the following Units/Sections: Human Resource Management, General Registry, Supply Chain Management; Accounts or general Administrative Services. The officer will be required to carry out simple clerical duties under the supervision and guidance of a senior officer.
Specific duties and responsibilities will entail:
·         collecting statistical records;
·         carrying out transactions related to accounts or personnel information;

·         filing receipts;
·         receiving, filing and dispatching  correspondence;
·         preparing pay Change Advices (PCAs);
·         preparing initial documents for issuance of stores;
·         photocopying and scanning documents;
·         indexing of documents and records;
·         checking general office cleaning; and
·         keeping safe custody of equipment, documents and records.
Qualifications
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:-
·         Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) Mean Grade C-(minus) or its equivalent qualification; and
·         Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution.

Office Administrative Assistant III

Job Group ‘G’
Salary Ksh.20,800 x 980 – 21,780 x 980 – 22,760 x 1,020 – 23,780 x 1,080 – 24,810 x 1,050 – 25,860 p.m.
House Allowance:               Kshs.3,200 p.m
Commuter Allowance:        Kshs: 4,000 p.m
Leave Entitlement:             30 working days per year.
Leave Allowance:                Kshs: 4,000 (Twice yearly)
Hardship Allowance:          Kshs.5,700 pm
Qualifications
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:
·         Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education Mean Grade C-(minus) with at least  C (plain) in English or Kiswahili language or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
·         Business Education Single and Group Certificates (BEC &GC) from the Kenya National Examination Council in the following subjects.
·         Typing II (minimum 40 w.p.m) /Computerized Document Processing II
·         Business English 1/Communications I
·         Office Practice I
·         Commerce I OR
·         Craft certificate in Secretarial Studies from the Kenya National Examination Council; and
·         Certificate in computer applications skills from a recognized institution
Responsibilities
This is the entry and training grade for this cadre.  Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:
·         Taking oral dictation, word and data processing from manuscripts, operating office equipment;
·         ensuring security of office equipment, documents and records, attending to visitors/clients, handling telephone calls and appointments; and
·         undertaking any other office administrative services duties that may be assigned.
