Kenyatta University Announces Partial Scholarships for 2019 / 2020

Kenyatta University (KU) announces 100 partial scholarships for needy and talented students for the Academic Year 2019/2020.
The partial scholarships are awarded by the University in collaboration with Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) and will cover TUITION COST ONLY.
HELB will offer a loan for part of the tuition fee which will have to be repaid subject to recovery conditions upon completion of the degree.

This is in line with the KU mission of enhancing access to higher education.
1. NEW STUDENTS
A: OVS Scholarships
SEVENTY (70) Scholarships are being offered for Orphans and Vulnerable Students (OVS) from Kenya seeking to pursue undergraduate degrees at KU.
B: Sports Scholarships
There are FIVE (5) scholarships for exceptional talented sportsmen and sportswomen to take a Bachelor’s degree in Recreation Science and Sports Management, and Exercise and Sports Science.
C: Scholarships for Performing Arts
There are FIVE (5) scholarships for exceptional students talented in performing arts to take a Bachelor’s degree in Music, Fine Art and Theatre Arts.
SCHOLARSHIP REQUIREMENTS
·         Minimum Mean Grade of C+ ¡n 2016 or 2017 KCSE
·         Applicants should have an Admission letter from the University.
·         Duly filled application form.
·         Documentary evidence of being needy, living with disability and/or talented for the indicated degree.
·         Copy of National ID.
·         Certified copies of relevant certificates/transcripts.
·         A Reference letter from a relevant authority e.g. Pastor / Priest / Imam / Chief / Head teacher.
2. CONTINUING STUDENTS
TWENTY (20) partial OVS scholarships are also on offer to deserving continuing students pursuing various degrees at KU.
SCHOLARSHIP REQUIREMENTS
·         Duly filled application form.
·         Documentary evidence of being needy, and/or talented.
·         Copy of National ID.
·         Certified copies of relevant certificates/transcripts.
·         A Reference letter from a relevant authority e.g. Pastor/Priest/lmam/ Chief/Head teacher.
NOTE: Application Procedure
All interested applicants MUST submit the applications to the KU Endowment and Alumni Programmes Directorate Office by Friday, 12th July, 2019.
