Reporting to the Director, Legal
Services & Company Secretary, this position leads a team to manage all
litigation and dispute resolution processes and provides legal advisory to the
Retail and Branch network on legal issues with a view to mitigating legal risks
and prevent adverse consequences to the Bank.
Responsibilities
·
Manage all major litigation and
disputes in which the Bank is a party to ensure the bank is adequately
represented including appearing before any court or tribunal as a witness or to
watch brief as necessary.
·
Conduct legal research, collate
evidence, prepare witnesses for pre-trial and hearing, develop concept papers,
prepare legal briefs and opinions as well as develop effective defence
strategies, arguments and testimony in preparation for legal proceedings of
cases in liaison with external lawyers. Create legal awareness and provide
advice on suitable action to avert and/or minimize litigation.

Manage and measure external lawyers’
performance to ensure efficiency.
·
Manage litigation costs to a minimum
including but not limited to negotiating suitable settlements in favour of the
Bank where deemed appropriate and also scrutinizing legal fees and ensure they
are raised in accordance with the Remuneration Order and Service Level Agreement.
·
Manage database of all litigation to
ensure the same is consistently up-to-date and prepare relevant reports,
presentations and analysis of all litigation monthly/quarterly or as may be
required.
·
Manage all debt collection related
matters and create legal awareness and provide advice on suitable action to
avert and/or minimize litigation including ensuring all Statutory Demand
Notices are issued correctly and in time.
·
Provide legal advisory to special
assets team in corporate restructuring of facilities.
·
Render legal guidance to Retail
branches on matters relating to bank policies, processes and procedures on all
queries received with a view to mitigating legal and reputational risks.
·
Peruse, review and analyze quarterly
reports and court judgments and make recommendations to the business on the
findings and also take corrective action where appropriate.
·
Any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
·
Degree in Law (LL.B)
·
Diploma in Law.
·
Advocate of the High Court.
·
7 years post admission experience.
·
Experience in legal drafting,
corporate and commercial law, dispute resolution and legal risk management.
·
Excellent communication and advocacy
skills.
·
Strong written and verbal
communication skills.

Bancassurance Sales Manager
Reporting to the Head of Sales and
Business Development – Bancassurance, the role holder will be responsible for
the insurance business growth and development in the designated Region to
generate revenues to support the Bancassurance growth strategy.
Responsibilities

Offer oversight in the execution of
Bancassurance business strategy at assigned Regions coordinating consumer
awareness and supporting staff in Sales Activations.

Drive the achievement of the set
financial targets while delivering consistent, seamless and trusted customer
service to ensure customer retention and loyalty.

Work closely with the Branch
management team ensuring that set Bancassurance targets are met.
·
Provide requisite support to
Bancassurance teams whilst ensuring adherence to laid down processes, policies
and procedures.

Formulate plans to harness business
opportunities at assigned regions and support in implementing these
initiatives.

Qualifications
·
University degree in a Business

AIIK Diploma or ACI Diploma ( minimum
of 4 Credits is preferred)
·
At least 7 years’ working experience
in insurance marketing or relationship management in the Insurance industry
with good understanding of motor and non-motor insurance products
·
Proven sales track record within
Banking, MFI, Insurance and related industries will be an added advantage.

IT Asset Analyst
Reporting to the Senior Manager – IT
Software Asset Manager, the IT Asset Analyst will ensure that bank I.T assets
are accurately defined, recorded, and updated, and that the proper
accountabilities and controls are in place (internally and externally) to
prevent and manage risks associated with the accuracy and completeness of the
asset information.
Responsibilities
·
Maintaining the contract data for all
suppliers and informing the relevant KCB parties on expiry of the software agreements
and contracts.
·
Monitoring License utilization levels
for all Assets in the Bank the IT asset manager tool.
·
Manage and maintain the data sources
for software assets, usage metrics and ensure they are continuously up to date
and valid for all IT assets in the Bank.
·
Generate dashboards and present
license compliance reports (regularly or upon request) by leveraging existing
software asset management tool and software discovery tool.
·
In collaboration with Enterprise
Architecture, develop, maintain and perform continuous process improvements and
automations for licensing usage driving efficiency and cost savings.
·
Process software license requests and
renewals through the Bank’s Procurement process
·
Track the KPIs in the service level
agreement (SLAs) with the vendors and ensure adherence to the contract terms.
·
Understand internal customer needs
and mature ITAM products, processes and procedures to meet them
·
Participate in vendor audits and
carry out periodic internal audit of the bank’s Software Licenses to ensure
that it tallies with records held in the Software Asset Manager
·
Ensure implementation of Business
Continuity Process as per bank set guidelines and standards.
Qualifications
·
Preferably a Bachelor’s Degree in ICT
or Related Field from a recognized university.
·
Qualifications in project management
will be added advantage.
·
Professional qualifications such as
ITIL Foundation is required.
·
A minimum of 3 years
supervisory/management level experience in Information Technology with at least
2 years hands on experience in:
·
End user hard ware and related
peripherals.
·
Operating systems (Windows, Unix)
·
At least 1 year experience in mass
deployment and support solutions (cloning, SCCM, patch management).
·
At least 1 year experience in network
services and protocols.

IT Software Asset Management
Reporting to the Head, Group IT
Service Delivery, the Senior Manager, IT Software Asset Management will be
responsible for the day-to-day management of the core IT asset management
operations.
He/she shall be
responsible for contributing and adhering to the processes and standards put
into place for managing IT Assets, managing costs, optimizing software
investments throughout their lifecycle, staffing and other relevant functions
required to hold all IT and business stakeholders accountable.
Responsibilities
·
In compliance to Enterprise
Architecture Governance, determine best strategy to review and extract key data
points and metrics from software asset management tool, software discovery
tools, contracts, entitlements, for identifying savings opportunities.
·
Maintains an Enterprise IT Asset
Management solution to ensure purpose and functionality closely aligns with
business procedures, directions, and strategies.
·
Lead engagements for internal and
external license compliance audits for bank’s Software Licenses to ensure that
it tallies with records held in the Software Asset Manager.
·
Coordinate and facilitate IT budget
and forecast planning meetings across Business Units.
·
Management of the Information
Technology Asset Management (ITAM) lifecycle system and processes, and to
effectively maintain the software license compliance and tracking program.
·
Develop and communicate IT Assets
Compliance detailed reports and summarised aggregated dashboards to Senior
Management in compliance with established standards by Enterprise Architecture
Governance on a monthly or on a need basis.
·
Report IT Assets non-compliance
immediately it is determined.
·
Identify and drive process
improvement solutions to increase accuracy, compliance, efficiency, licensing
usage driving efficiency and cost savings.
·
Review and monitor IT contract
performance and compliance and ensure contracts meet company requirements.
Identify and lead Assets rationalization initiatives.
·
Own and build strong relationships
with key internal customers, partners and vendors. Be the point of contact
between IT and other business units on requisition of Software assets.
·
Ensure implementation of Business
Continuity Process as per bank set guidelines and standards.
Qualifications
·
Preferably a Bachelor’s Degree in
Computer Science, ICT or Related Field from a recognized university.
·
Qualifications in project management

Equities Dealer
Reporting to the Managing Director,
KCB Capital Limited, the role holder will ensure that there is accurate and
timely execution of primarily Equities trades in listed securities for Retail,
High Net Worth and institutional clients while ensuring compliance to CDSC, CMA
& NSE trading regulations. The candidate will work closely with the
Research Analyst and Operations team to ensure that clients receive the best
possible level of service and execution quality.
Responsibilities
·
Grow the client base and revenue as
per the set targets.
·
Review all securities transactions to
ensure accuracy of information and that trades conform to regulations of NSE.
·
Ensure appropriate response and
resolution of queries and requests by clients within agreed timelines.
·
Provide market and investment
information and advice to the Sales and Discretionary Portfolio Management team
on the purchase and sale of particular Securities.
·
Uploading orders from the Trade Order
Management / Back Office System into the Automated Trading System (ATS) in a
timely and efficient manner.

Up to date knowledge and use of the
ATS system to ensure maximum efficiencies are achieved on the utilization of
the ATS platform.

Develop trading strategies by reviewing
investment information, and monitoring market conditions from the Trading
floor, and through contact with trading departments of other investment firms
(Brokerage houses), Fund managers and Financial Analysts.

Qualifications
·
University Degree preferably in a
Business related field from an Institution recognized by Commission for
University Education.
·
NSE ATS Certificate is a requirement.
·
Professional qualifications
(CFA/KIB/ACIB/CPA/ACCA) or MBA is an added advantage.
·
Minimum 4 years’ proven Equity
Trading experience in an Investment Bank or Brokerage
·
Experience in using Bloomberg and
Reuters terminals will be an added advantage.
·
Demonstrate sound knowledge of

The Research Analyst will carry out
