Our client, a leading Microfinance Bank with presence in several counties in Kenya is seeking for:

Position: Customer Relationship Officers
Job Purpose: To ensure customer inquiries are handled in a timely and organized manner and that satisfaction and loyalty are maximized.
Main duties and responsibilities
·         Ensure maximum security and confidentiality of customers’ documents.

·         Receive and process all in-coming and out-going mails and documents
·         Contact customers to build relationships and to achieve high retention levels among existing customers and respond to enquiries on accounts or operational matters
·         Liaise with internal departments and provide instructions to concerned parties on account maintenance tasks
·         Capture all queries (including verbal or written) on the bank’s query logging system.
·         Resolve customers enquiries at the first instance by using systems and escalating issues to the supervisor when need arises per set Service Level Agreements.
·         Provide adhoc reports, visibility on all call and email transactions made with clients.
·         Answering and managing incoming calls.
·         Perform services for customers such as ordering bank cards and cheques
·         Cross-sell and market the Microfinance’s products and services to ensure increased customer base and increased value per customer.
·         Ensure high standards of Customer Service are maintained
·         Ensure 100% compliance to the Bank’s policies and Procedures.
Key qualifications and requirements
·         Fresh graduates with a relevant degree from a recognized University
·         Minimum of grade B-minus in KCSE
·         Knowledge of customer service principles
·         Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
·         Accuracy and Attention to detail
·         Warm demeanor and pleasant personality

Position: Teller / Cashier
Job Purpose: To accurately and efficiently process and record routine transactions for bank customers including cashing cheques, accepting deposits and withdrawals, processing loan payments and money transfers.
Main duties and responsibilities
·         Provide services to customers by receiving deposits, cashing checks; issuing savings withdrawals
·         Reconcile cash drawer by proving and validating cash transactions, counting and packaging currency and coins, reconciling loan coupons, turning in excess cash and mutilated currency to head teller and maintaining supply of cash and currency.
·         Receive and count working cash at the beginning of each shift
·         Record all transactions promptly, accurately and in compliance with bank procedures.
·         Balance currency, cash and cheques in cash drawer at end of each shift
·         Perform specialized tasks such as preparing cashier’s cheques, personal money orders, issuing traveler’s cheques and exchanging foreign currency
·         Receive and verify loan payments, mortgage payments and utility bill payments
·         Answer inquiries regarding checking and savings accounts and other bank related products
·         Initiate and open new accounts
·         Ensure compliance with all internal controls and established policies and procedures.
Key qualifications and requirements
·         Fresh graduates with a relevant degree from a recognized University
·         Minimum of grade B-minus in KCSE and C+ in Mathematics
·         Knowledge of customer service principles
·         Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
·         Accuracy and Attention to detail
·         Strong numerical ability

Position: Business Development Officer
Job Purpose: To sell the bank’s products and credit facilities to prospective SME’s.
Main duties and responsibilities
·         Mobilize deposits from SMEs to match and exceed the loan book.
·         Loan assessment, appraisals and approvals
·         Analyze potential loan markets and develop referral networks in order to locate loans.
·         Recruit and retain SME’s to ensure growth in loan disbursement through excellent customer service and timely service delivery.
·         Ensure thorough business assessment, proper securitization and compliance to audit standards and company policy.
·         Disseminate accurate information to prospective clients and ensure their understanding of operations policy as well as training them on company products.
·         Pitching and presenting to potential SME clients
·         Review and update credit/loan files
·         Sales activations and customer sensitization(quarterly) in partnership with partners to increase uptake e.g. breakfasts, cocktails etc. (customer sensitization)
·         Research and market analysis to identify potential new sales leads.
·         Network within SME’s to find and attract new business.
Key qualifications and requirements
·         Should be a holder of a business related University Degree
·         At least 4 years’ experience in lending either in SME or Group preferably in a financial institution is a must
·         Practical knowledge in Sales and Marketing, credit risk management and computer literacy.
·         Self-driven individual who can work with minimum supervision
·         Excellent presentation, communication and negotiation skills
·         Person of integrity and honesty
·         Ability to build and maintain productive working relationships in a multi-functional environment.
