Sales Executive (Eldoret)

Market Minet’s Products and Services to attract new business and ensure retention of customers.
Responsibilities

Senior Account Executive Marketing

The candidate will be required to work with a team of brokers to generate new business.
Responsibilities
o    New business generation to grow existing portfolio
o    Day to day dealing with new business
o    Renewals and mid-term adjustments
o    Ensuring that the client’s identified needs are met
o    Act as a contact between a company and its existing and potential markets
o    Ensuring client records are accurately input and maintained on the system accurately
o    Preparations of reports and client feedback
Qualifications
o    Bachelor’s Degree in business or relevant field, 3 CII or equivalent papers with at least 4 years’ experience in an insurance broking or underwriting environment
o    Enthusiastic and highly motivated person with the ability to interact at all levels
o    Thorough understanding of the insurance market and products
o    Excellent communication and negotiating skills with both clients and insurers
o    Be highly ethical & detail orientated
o    Possess excellent time management skills and enjoy working under a deadline

Loss Adjuster


o    Attend to each substantial loss that occurs
o    Visit the location of loss immediately upon occurrence; make enquiries, collect data, take photographs where applicable, interview the insured
o    Appoint / recommend appointment of loss adjusters and/or relevant experts in relation to the claim
o    Collect documents and interrogate them vis a vis the incident and policy requirements
o    Check on policy terms and conditions and internally advise the broking/claims team if they were adhered to prior and /or during loss incident
o    Prepare a preliminary report within 7 days of first visit to the location of loss providing a description or extent of loss while indicating the appropriate claim reserves
o    Provide appropriate advice to clients, assist them with documentation and act as a link between client, internal staff and insurer appointed intermediaries
o    Determine extent of loss and adequacy of cover.
o    Compute the loss value and submit the final report to management
o    Regularly interact with internal staff and provide technical guidance, trainings related to your field of work
o    Provide reports on customer feedback and service provider’s performance
o    Handle day to day claims when not preoccupied with loss adjusting duties
Qualifications

o    Oversee & ensure smooth running of the day to day operations at the branch
o    Client Relationship Management
o    Co-ordinate branch activities and keep the head offices abreast of happenings at the branch
o    Prepare branch budget and present to the director
o    Provide branch divisional reports for the monthly divisional board meetings
o    Identify regional prospects & target them with appropriate insurance solutions
o    Promote and market Minet’s Products in the region
o    Maintain branch costs within budget
o    Actively develop and document team members’ skills and performance through coaching and training
o    Monitor financial targets for all technical staff and support them to achieve 100%
o    Performing performance appraisals for the branch staff

Qualifications

o    Management of the claims processing, keenly checking and following up for timely settlement by the reinsurers.

o    Credit control of debtors in line with the company’s credit policy
o    To ensure proper operation of reinsurance business; underwriting, technical accounts, invoicing, premium collection and reconciliation, client account servicing, claims, marketing.
o    Source and grow treaty and facultative business in the market in line with the company’s strategic goals
o    Ensure issuance of reinsurance slips, correctly and timely and duly returned from the markets upon execution
o    Accurate and timely processing of quarterly treaty returns/accounts
o    Invoicing and timely submission of debit notes and credit notes to the cedants and reinsurers respectively
Qualifications
o    University degree in insurance, business or related field
o    Minimum Dip CII / Dip IIK – Professional qualifications
o    5 years’ experience and proven track record in a busy reinsurance environment within the industry

Associate General Manager

To provide advocacy for all claims with special emphasis on large, complex and contentious to ensure excellent outcomes for Minet Kenya Clientele.
Responsibilities
o    Monitor all claims for Minet Risk Solutions
o    Ensure clients receive regular reports on their claim’s status
o    Solve complex or disputed claims in liaison with the Director
o    Generate loss ratios
o    Assist clients in the preparation of documents of major or complex claims
o    Provide monthly updates to Client Service Support Team on all outstanding claims
o    Provide feedback/recommendation on Insurance cover for cases that have specialized requirements
o    Engage risk team in root cause analysis
o    Hold monthly meetings with main carriers and identify difficult carriers
o    Ensure that no business is lost on account of poor claims service
Qualifications
o    Bachelor’s degree in business, or related field, Diploma in ACII with at least 8 years experience, 5 of which should be in senior management in claims
o    Enthusiastic and highly motivated person with the ability to interact at all levels
o    Excellent communication and strong project management skills
