Cyber Security Head of Department

Description
 We are pleased to announce the following Head of Department – Cyber Security within the Corporate Security Division.  In keeping with our current business needs, we are looking for a person who meets the criteria indicated below.
Brief Description
Reporting to the Chief Corporate Security Officer, the position holder will be responsible for all security elements within the Cyber Security Function, designing, implementing and managing sound Security controls in support of other Business Units.

The role holder will lead overall management of Safaricom’s Cyber Security Operations, which includes the following functions: Cyber Strategy & Secure By Design, Cyber Prevent & Defence Center, Managed Cyber Security Services and Cyber Security Governance Risk & Control.
Responsibilities
·         Ensure effective implementation of Security within the company, for the benefit of Strategic Business Units, ensuring that all risks are effectively managed or mitigated.
·         Identify and promote industry best practice for cyber security strategy, and security risk management for Safaricom.
·         Implementation, monitoring and management of security aspects of Network & IT infrastructure and applications including vulnerability assessments, penetration testing and resolutions on all technical systems.
·         On a regular basis, facilitate the development and review of security infrastructure, application, people and financial plans and policies in line with Divisional and Company objectives.
·         In collaboration with stakeholders, ensure adequate budget, resource and management focus on cyber security risks.
·         Develop and manage a team to provide timely and comprehensive support to projects and internal business users on issues relating to IT Security.
·         Development and analysis of relevant management reports on various key aspects of the section’s responsibilities
Qualifications
·         10+ years’ experience in a large IT environment with at least 5 years of which should be in a senior leadership position
·         Minimum of 5 years focused Cyber Security management experience
·         Deep technical understanding of security vulnerabilities and risks, as well as countermeasures and compensating controls
·         Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in at least three (3) of the following domains: platform security, network security, application security, data security, cloud security, database security, user access management or embedded device security
·         Expert knowledge in industry standard security frameworks such as ISO, GDPR, NIST, OWASP etc.
·         Experience leading incident response and forensics investigations
·         Executive level leadership, organizational, negotiation, communication and presentation skills required, including experience with customer and supplier contract negotiations

The Data scientist will lead the data science team to create value from Safaricom’s vast amount and variety of data using advance analytical and statistical methods and models to answer complex business questions. Responsibilities

Systems Administrator

Description
We are pleased to announce the following vacancy within Digital IT department in the Technology Division. In keeping with our current business needs, we are looking for a person who meets the criteria indicated below.
Reporting to the Manager – Infrastructure and Cloud Planning, the position holder will be responsible for system planning, deployment, monitoring and administration of Linux, Windows, VMware, RHEV, Container Management, Openstack and storage systems.  This includes general system administration tasks, software and hardware installations, system configuration, backups, system monitoring, performance tuning, troubleshooting, skills transfer, internal customer management, configuration management and documentation.
Responsibilities
·         Administering, configuring and troubleshooting servers based on Linux, Windows, VMware, RHEV, OpenStack and Containerization.
·         Involved in automation of infrastructure at massive scale to support scaling of digital services.
·         Responsible for interfacing with application development teams to ensure applications fit within the infrastructure with scalability, reliability and security designed and implemented from the onset.
·         Analysis of server hardware and operating system software, enterprise storage systems based on IBM, EMC, HP and Cisco and Brocade SAN fabric. This will also include implementation of tactical service improvements, upgrades and system patching;
·         Liaise with internal users, hardware and software vendors and internal systems owners to fine tune systems hardware and software for all systems;
·         Operations of backup tools and testing of disk and data recovery;
·         Provide solutions on all business systems. Prompt restoration of lost data for the business;

 Qualifications
·         Degree in computer science/Information Technology or Engineering ,
·         3+ years’ experience in infrastructure support in an environment with mixed Windows, Linux and UNIX server environment
·         Certification in vMware (VCP), Linux, Cloud and DevOps solutions.
·         Experience with Configuration Management tools e.g. Chef, Ansible, Puppet.
·         Good working knowledge of high availability environments with clustering and distributed storage technologies.

Territory Account Executive

Brief Description
Reporting to the Regional Manager, the role holder will meet overall NPS, revenue and acquisition targets for the assigned territory and work with Safaricom Business Partners to retain, develop, manage and expand the customer base and grow revenues.
Responsibilities
·         Development of plans to achieve set billed revenue targets in the territory;
·         Increase product and Business solutions penetration through cross sell to named accounts, in assigned territory;

·         Ensure revenue growth by growing ARPA in the accounts through up sell;
·         Achieve the set NPS targets for the Accounts in the territory;
·         Ensure achievement of set churn targets for assigned accounts ;
·         Develop strong relationships with customers at CxO to maintain ongoing revenue stream;
·         Ensure all accounts are managed through well thought out Account Development Plans;
 Qualifications
·         Minimum 1 years ’experience in selling to the SME market

Senior Officer

Brief Description
Reporting to the Senior Manager – Distribution & Customer Fulfillment, will be responsible for generating revenue and management of all company’s stocks, devices and assets from the main warehouses to the various Dealers, Retail centers and Ministores in the assigned region, ensuring End to End customers fulfilments. Managing relationships and performance of Contracted Service providers/Dealers as well as Planning & scheduling of On-time delivery of both Dealer, Retail and Ministores orders within the SLAs. Developing tools for Data collection, insights from reports to enhance customer experience. Developing and implementing optimization initiatives for efficiencies and cost management. Driving fuller utilization of ERP systems for Safaricom & service providers staff to drive speed through self-service and thus better time to market. Works as liaison with all external and internal parties in the Distribution supply chain touch points to drive Net Promoter Score.
Responsibilities
·         End to end management of orders to ensure reduced lead-times to customers.
·         Ensure 100% management of systems and process /procedures being managed for dealer and Retail related activities.
·         Provide advisory services to dealers in terms of ministore staff recruitment to reduce Staff turnover in the region.
·         Work with Dealer managers to ensure accurate and timely processing of stock orders to ensure that there is no stock out of the products in the region.
·         Effective support to the dealer management team, Retail and Regional operations in terms of managing the quality of service provided by the ministore personnel and 3PL to ensure compliance to contractual agreement requirements
·         Work with Safaricom Business Channel Partners to develop, manage and expand the customer base and grow revenues.
·         Ensure that only Authorized staff collects orders from regional ministores.
·         Follow up with all ministores to ensure that orders are issued as ordered by dealers and the order collection report is shared by close of business.
·         Manage fraud risk and optimize dealer’s credit usage.
·         Ensure that stock placed in wrong warehouses, are received back in the system through RMAs and re-allocated to different dealers.
·         Proactively attend to customer issues i.e.  Dealers, Retail & Agents and close the issues  in CRM  within SLA to ensure excellent CDI
·         Embed CXX process in Distribution & Customer fulfillment
·         Support effective and efficient management of stocking levels and stock management practices at the Retail centers & minis stores to ensure the achievement of distribution objectives.
·         Effective implementation of distribution strategy in the network to achieve on-time availability of stocks and support sales within assigned region.
·         Identify Inventory variances while processing orders and transfer missing stock to the LOST sub-inventory in Oracle.
·         Effectively Train Ministore staff and manage resources allocated.
·         Manage performance of the mini store personnel & 3PL
·         Undertake quarterly mini store & Retail visits in the region to ensure that inventory & distribution standards are met
·         Developing KPI’s that reflect 3PL (the third party logistics provider) performance and developing future strategies for both warehousing and distribution.
 Qualifications
·         Business Degree holder (Business management, IT or equivalent)
·         5 years working experience in Customer service environment & Distribution & Customer Fulfillment Environment.
·         Certificate in CIPS Level 5/ Diploma in Purchasing and Supplies Management – Must be a Certified member of CIPS
·         Knowledge / Certification in APICS will be an added advantage
