Position: Global
Child Protection Advisor
Duration: Fixed Term Contract 2 Years / Part-time 3 days a week
ActionAid is committed to challenging
all forms of Sexual, Harassment, Exploitation and Abuse and other Safeguarding
concerns (including child abuse and adult at-risk abuse). Reporting to the
Global SHEA and Safeguarding Lead, the incumbent will help deliver our Child
Abuse and Adult at Risk- Abuse strategy with a focus on preventing and
protecting children from exploitation and abuse perpetrated by employees and
representatives.
This will involve developing policies
and procedures to prevent and respond to allegations relating to harm to
children, delivering training and developing strong guidelines and minimum
standards.
You will work collaboratively with
key stakeholders such as SHEA and Safeguarding Focal Points in the ActionAid
Federation to ensure learning is shared appropriately and to build good
practice. Important will be the ability to design and deliver training,
awareness raising and other capacity building activities for staff, partners,
and other stakeholders.
You will work with key stakeholders
to ensure legally compliant Child Protection practice in programmes, processes,
and policies across the ActionAid Federation as well as build an environment ¡n
which staff and partners feel safe to report concerns.
Your remit will also include
supporting with the response to allegations of abuse and exploitation of
children, working in line with national and international laws and best
practice. Important will be the ability to design and deliver effective
strategies, projects, and tools for improving the effectiveness of child abuse
and exploitation deterrence, prevention, detection and response across the
organisation.
To succeed you will, preferably,
possess a Master or Bachelor degree in Social Work, Human Rights, Child
Protection or relevant field as well as extensive experience working in
safeguarding, abuse and or women/child protection programming.
Position: Global Prevention of Sexual Exploitation & Abuse Advisor (Global
PSEA Advisor)
Duration: Two
Years Fixed Term Contract / Part-time 3 days a week

collaboratively with others.
To
succeed you will have preferably a Master or Bachelor degree in Social Work,
Human Rights, Child Protection or relevant field extensive experience working
in an international context on PSEA, Sexual Harassment, GBV, Protection or
Whistleblowing.
You
will also be used to handling complex investigations in a sensitive manner and
able to design and deliver training. You will be used to developing and
operating monitoring and evaluating safeguarding mechanisms too.
