Reporting
to the Charge Nurse – Theatre Unit, the successful candidates will be
responsible for the following roles amongst others: –
Responsibilities
·
Conducting an individualized patient
assessment, prioritizing the data collection based on the patient’s immediate
condition or needs within timeframe as per the standard operating procedures.
·
Developing plan of care that is
individualized for the patient reflecting collaboration with other members of
the healthcare team.
·
Performing appropriate treatments as
ordered by physician in an accurate and timely manner.
·
Performing therapeutic nursing
interventions as established by individualized plan of care for the patient and
their family.
·
Providing individualized
patient/family education and discharge planning customized to the patient and
their family.
·
Documenting patient assessment
findings, physical/psychosocial responses to nursing intervention and progress
towards problem resolution.
·
Initiating emergency resuscitative
measures according to resuscitation, basic and advanced life support protocols.
·
Maintaining confidentiality in
matters related to patient, family and client facility staff.
·
Providing care in a non-judgmental,
non-discriminatory manner that is sensitive to the patient’s and family’s
diversity, preserving their autonomy, dignity and rights.
·
Reporting patient’s condition to
appropriate personnel during each shift.
·
Ensuring that all supplies necessary
to perform surgical procedures are availed to the surgeon and the supporting
team.
·
Monitoring physiological and
psychological status of the patients.
·
Maintaining current competency in
perioperative nursing through continuing nursing education.
·
Performing any other duties that may
be assigned from time to time depending on the need and urgency.
Qualifications
·
KRN, KRM, KRCHN, BSc. Nursing
·
Kenya Registered Perioperative Nurse.
·
4 years post registration experience.
·
Mentorship training.
·
BLS Certified
·
Excellent interpersonal, supervisory,
communication, administrative & customer care skills.
Assistant Biomedical Engineer

Location:
Nairobi
Reporting
to Hospital Engineer – Biomedical, the successful candidate will be responsible
for ensuring proper functioning, safety and sound condition of all medical
equipment in the Hospital and that they are in optimum working condition and
available for use at all times amongst the following other responsibilities;
Responsibilities
·
Ensure all bio-medical equipment are
included on the equipment master list for scheduled maintenance and
calibration.
·
Support the Hospital Engineer – Biomedical,
to review and update the quality standards for preventive maintenance and
checks that are regularly conducted on biomedical equipment to comply with
changing industry requirements.
·
Ensure that preventive maintenance
and repairs of bio-medical equipment is conducted within the established
quality standards, procedures and time.
·
Ensure continuous training of
Bio-medical equipment users and to ensure safe machine handling.
·
Ensure calibration of biomedical
equipment is done in time and documented.
·
Ability to maintain dialysis
equipment.
·
Ensure team observance and compliance
with environmental health and occupational safety measures and regulations.
·
Carry out staff supervision including
work scheduling and execution.
·
Supervise handling and being in charge
of any works related to various bio-medical equipment.
·
To evaluate the safety, efficiency
and effectiveness of medical equipment, report and implement recommendations.
·
Identify gaps and risks in biomedical
equipment and share with head of department for execution.
·
Supervise outpatient centers and
ensuring medical equipment’s are maintained as per hospital standards.
·

Qualifications
·
Degree in Bio -Medical engineering
from a recognized institution.
·
Valid practicing License
·
Minimum 4 years’ experience, in a
maintenance function in a busy hospital industry.
·
Demonstrated experience in
Maintenance management.

Clinical Internal Auditor

Reporting
to the Internal Audit Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for
the following amongst other responsibilities:
Responsibilities
·
Planning and conducting risk based
audits in clinical areas and outpatient centres.
·
Developing audit programs and testing
procedures relevant to risk and test objectives
·
Reviewing audit working papers
prepared by auditors to ensure all the requisite audit areas are covered,
sufficient details are captured and coaching the team.
·
Preparing audit reports and
developing recommendations to address arising audit concerns.
·
Monitoring the implementation of
agreed actions and ensuring actions are implemented correctly on a timely basis
·
Testing and appraising operating
controls for soundness and adequacy.
·
Reviewing operations against business
and strategic plans to determine consistency.
·
Undertaking audit assignments to
confirm the adequacy and effectiveness of governance, risk management and
internal controls systems
·
Undertaking special audit
investigations as may be required from time to time.
Qualifications
·
Business degree.
·
CPA (K).
·
Demonstrable knowledge of IFRS and
Auditing standards.
·
CISA or CIA certification will be an
added advantage.
·
7 years’ continuous internal audit
experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
·
Good understanding of clinical and
outpatient Centre operations (hospital experience).
·
Competency in use of CAATs will be
added advantage.
·

Financial Internal Auditor
Location:

Reporting
to the Internal Audit Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for
the timely completion of financial, operational & information technology
and security audits in a manner that is consistent with The International
Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing and Information
Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) standards amongst the following
other responsibilities:
Responsibilities
·
Planning and conducting risk based
financial, operational & information system audits.
·
Developing audit programs and testing
procedures relevant to risk and test objectives
·
Monitoring the project status of new
systems development, disaster recovery testing, the business continuity plan,
and other activities related to IT processing.
·
Reviewing the reliability and
integrity of the financial and operating information and the means used to
identify, measure, classify, and report such information.
·
Reviewing the means of safeguarding
information assets and monitoring of ongoing performance metrics established by
the IT Departments.
·
Supervision of auditors, preparation
& reviewing working papers prepared by auditors according to departmental
guidelines & international standards.
·
Evaluating the adequacy of security
and processing controls as they relate to each audit, and the effectiveness of
general computer controls in effect in the IT environment.
·

responsibilities;
Responsibilities

Ensure all bio-medical equipment in
ICU and Theatre are included on the Preventive Maintenance Master Schedule.
·
Ensure on schedule preventive
maintenance, and timely repairs to ICU and Theatres to eliminate downtime.
·
Maintain files and records of all job
cards, PPM schedules and tasks as performed.
·
Timely handling of all biomedical
equipment job requests in ICU and Theatre.
·
Ensure continuous training of
Bio-medical equipment users and to ensure safe machine handling.
·
Evaluate the safety, efficiency and
effectiveness of medical equipment, report and implement recommendations.
·
