Responsibilities
This
is the entry and training grade for this cadre. An officer at this level will
work under guidance of a senior officer and experienced officer. Duties and
responsibilities at this level entail

Receiving and documenting patients at
hospital reception.
·
Registering and booking appointments
for patients to clinics and consultants.
·
Storing and retrieving medical
records and documents.
·
Preparing clinics.
·
Updating bed bureau.
·
Editing of patient case records.
·
Gathering information from different
sources.
·
Capturing data from service points.
·
Maintaining record safety and

Qualifications
·
Must be a Kenyan citizen with 10
years experience in senior position in Health department.
·
MB chB, MD, BDS or equivalent
·
A relevant postgraduate, clinical
specialty MPH, Msc. (Health policy planning management), MA (Hospital
management), Msc. (Health services planning and management), MBA or post
graduate Diploma or certificate in management.
·
Deep knowledge in planning,
coordinating, controlling and directing public hospital health services provision
·
Sufficient knowledge of clinical
practices, procedures and standards.
Responsibilities
·
Provide general and administrative
services to the hospital
·
Review formulation and implementation
of health and administrative policies, procedures and programs in the hospital
·
Effective supervision, deployment,
discipline, training and development of staff
·
Co-coordinating major health
technical functions and ensuing timely completion of tasks.
·
Liaising wit other professional and
technical departments heads to improve overall management and delivery of
health care services.
·
Promoting discipline and
professionalism in delivery of health services
·
Participate in the development of
annual budget, in line with approved budgets and spending plan.
·
Ensure effective financial management
in accordance with Government financial and accounting procures.
·
Where necessary in collaboration with
the Chief Officer of Health, revise plans and budgets and progress to ensure
planned activities are completed.
·
Any other duties that may be assigned
by the Chief Officer of health.
