Strategic Reporting Supervisor

Reports to: Assistant Manager – Statistics Analysis & Reporting Unit

Responsibilities
The holder will provide technical support in data analysis and reporting; continuously monitoring performance and quality through analysing and reporting KRA’s big data for informing decision making process.

Tasks and Outputs
·         Identify and maintain key revenue and economic data sets,
·         Generate and compilation revenue statistics to assist in research and planning activities,
·         Analyse and interpret revenue statistics,
·         Assist in revenue target setting,
·         Supervise preparation of revenue performance reports (as per provided timelines) to management, Board, The National Treasury, and other identified stakeholders,
·         Ensure regular update and improvement of data marts and performance dashboards,
·         Assist the research section in improving the KRA revenue forecasting model, including provision of requisite data as may be needed,
·         Participate in the preparation of the Statistical bulletin, Annual Revenue Report and Income Tax Report.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
·         Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics or Business related field from a recognised university.
·         A Masters degree in a related field will be an added advantage.
·         Computer literacy in statistical analysis.

·         Three (3) years relevant experience.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities
Performing a variety of test and procedures on a variety of goods and materials.
Tasks and Outputs
·         Perform chemical and physical tests and analytical procedures to determine the nature, identity and composition ofa variety of inorganic chemicals, metals and related materials.
·         Conduct chemical and physical tests and analytical procedures requiring the application of a variety of standard procedures and advanced analytical instrumentation.
·         Carry out background study to determine the type and extent of analysis necessary and select test methods for supporting revenue collection, trade facilitation and enforcement activities.
·         Modify and adapt analytical procedures and test methods to meet laboratory needs and ensure the accuracy and validity of results.
·         Prepares and standardises reagents; maintains and calibrates instruments; orders supplies and equipment as needed.
·         Ensure adherence to quality assurance procedures and compliance with safety requirements.
·         Perform necessary calculations, review and interpret analytical results and prepare reports; and give testimony concerning samples analysed, test methods, analyses results and conclusions.
·         Perform such other duties as may be assigned.

·         Develop, maintain and monitor procedures for all server backups and ensure they are checked to prevent any data loss from the organisation’s database.
·         Manage the entire software and technology-related hardware and software inventory across the organisation and ensure license compliance.
·         Make recommendations and specifications for procurement of new equipment and manage the Data Centre infrastructure which include to monitor the physical environment.
·         Review all hardware and software procurement and maintenance contracts, ensuring involvement and participation of other team members as appropriate to ensure compliance and ensure that contracts with third parties support the needs of the business.
Qualifications
Academic qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Software engineering or an equivalent from a recognised institution
Professional qualification
·         Industry standard certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Microsoft SQL servers and databases, Oracle database 11g administrator certified associate, Oracle database 11g administrator certified professional or equivalent certifications and MCSE certificates.
·         Certification in Strategic Leadership Development Programme.
Level of knowledge applied to the job
·         Good knowledge and understanding of information communication technology processing, systems, concepts, methodologies and current trends in ICT including systems administration, Webmaster/Graphic Design, Systems Development, Database Analysis or Network Administration.
