Our
Client, the Nyeri Water and Sewerage Company Limited (NYEWASCO), is a limited
liability company whose main mandate is to provide high quality water and
sewerage services to residents of Nyeri County on commercial terms. The company
wishes to recruit transformational individuals to occupy the following
positions.
Reporting
to the Managing Director, the Manager Legal Services provides Legal advice and
secretarial functions to the Company.
Responsibilities
·
Advise the organization on the legal
aspects of day-to-day administrative matters and also provide legal
opinion/advise on industrial development matters.
·
Represent the organization in all
issues requiring legal address-claims, defamation, legal suits etc.
·
Preparation of all the organization
legal documentations (charges leases, incubation agreements discharges etc.)
·
Assist in developing effective
working relationships with key user departments to ensure their needs are
understood and appropriate solutions developed that support business needs.
·
Liaise with external lawyers for
specified matters.
·
Prepare monthly reports on legal
matters affecting the organization to the management.
·
Store legal instruments related to
the organization i.e. contracts, leases, logbooks, agreements.
·
Ensure that all operational licenses
are in place and valid.
·
Research and prepare company cases
appropriately.
·
Undertake legal audit to confirm
compliance by the company with the laws.
·
Participate in development of company
policies on legal matters.
·
Attend procurement committee meetings
and advise on aspects of public procurement law.
·
Participate in tender openings and
evaluations.
·
Take top management, board committee
and full board meetings Minutes
·
Liaise with the external company
secretarial on Company Secretarial Services
·
Ensure compliance with statutory and
regulatory requirements.
·
Participate in the development of the
departmental budget.
·
Responsible for physical assets
assigned by the company
·
Makes operational decisions as guided
by Standard Operating Procedures (SOPS)
Qualifications
·
Academic/Professional Experience
·
Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) from a
recognized institution
·
Master’s Degree in Law will be an
added advantage
·
Advocate of the High Court of Kenya
·
Postgraduate diploma in Law
·
Registration with relevant
professional body/member in good standing
·
A total of at least 5 years of
experience with at least 3 years of supervisory experience.

wishes to recruit transformational individuals to occupy the following
positions.
Reporting
to the Managing Director, the Head of Corporate Services is responsible for
advising the Board and Management on matters of Finance, Human Resource, ICT,
Procurement (Administratively) and General Corporate Administration of the
Company. The position supervises the Manager Finance, Manager Human Resource
and Administration, Manager, Supply Chain and Manager ICT.
Responsibilities
·
Ensure performance measures are
designed to evaluate performance against the strategic plan;
·
Ensure reporting on work done into
the reporting structures in the company on a monthly; quarterly or annual basis
·
Play a senior leadership role in
bringing the company internal community along to support the outputs delivered
by developing effective and strategic relationships
·
Play a senior leadership role in
bringing external stakeholders along with the NYEWASCO through open,
professional and proactive engagement and with enforcement partners in relation
to specific cases.
·
Take responsibility for the reports
emerging from the directorate and all documentation sent to the MD
·
Build a highly effective team, by
leading, managing and motivating staff and by directing and coaching them where
appropriate, so that they achieve excellence in delivery.

Reporting

prudent management of commercial function and continuous improvement of
customer service delivery and monitoring and reporting on implementation of the
strategic plan. The position supervises Debt Control, billing, meter reading,
customer services and marketing/ business development functions.
Responsibilities

to monthly meter readings and payments is entered and verified
