Dispatch Clerk

Our client is one of the leading FMCG manufacturers in Kenya. They seek to hire a smart, experienced Dispatch Clerk who shall take the lead in an extremely busy environment. This position requires a well-organized person and meticulous in execution and driving processes.
Purpose of the Job
To participate and be a key member in dispatch and delivery operations, with an aim to retaining superior customer service level in the most cost-effective way.
Responsibilities

·         Prepare daily dispatch plans and relevant reports.
·         Supervise and dispatch drivers and loaders.
·         Ensure that the fleet of delivery vehicle are loaded and dispatched as per dispatch plans.
·         Ensure products are in sound condition, safety and accuracy are maintained during loading.
·         Ensure that all delivery documentation is correct and acknowledged by receiving parties.
·         Ensure that all delivery documentation is promptly filed and submitted to Finance.

·         Work closely with the Dispatch supervisor in ensuring that all operations procedures are followed to the letter and any deviation reported.
·         Ensure that goods are secured against possible pilferage during working hours.
·         Perform any other duties as required by management.
Requirements
·         Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management or its equivalent
·         At least 3 years’ experience in a busy environment
·         Membership to the relevant professional body.
·         Highly detailed and process oriented.
