The Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD) wishes to recruit qualified persons on one year short term contract for the following:
The Marketing and Branding officers will be responsible to the Senior Marketing and branding officer.
Responsibilities

·         Developing marketing strategies and plans aligned to Institute’s mandate;
·         Advising management on marketing issues;
·         Carrying out customer needs and satisfaction survey;
·         Implementing marketing policies, systems and procedures
·         Monitoring market trends; and 6.Overseeing and coordinating branding activities.
Qualifications
·         Diploma in Marketing, Business studies, Sales and marketing, Public relations or a Related Field from a recognized institution;
·         Knowledge on media and market Research and Analysis.
·         Experience in Digital Media Marketing;
·         Understanding of Business Practices, Budgeting and branding;
·         Interpersonal Communication skills and Client relationship;
·         Creativity, Innovative, Big-Picture thinker and quick to adapt to changing market trends.
·         Relevant working experience.

Assistant Human Resource Management/ Development Officer

The Assistant Human Resource Management/ Development Officer will report to the Principal Human Resource Management Officer.
Responsibilities
·         Processing of human resource statistics;
·         Processing appointments, promotions, discipline cases, transfers and other related duties in human resource management;
·         Preparing payment vouchers;
·         Computation of financial or statistical records based on routine or special sources of information; and
·         Compiling data and drafting simple letters.
Qualifications
·         Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade C (plain);
·         Diploma in Human Resource Management or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution;
·         Proficient in computer use and application; and
·         Initiative, team player and highly motivated

Receptionist

The Receptionist will be responsible to the Front Office Supervisor.
Responsibilities
·         Receiving visitors by greeting them, in person or on the telephone;
·         Answering and forwarding incoming telephone calls;
·         Directing visitors to various areas in the Institute;
·         Checking in and checking out guests;
·         Handling guests inquiries and complaints;
·         Making reservations; and
·         Marketing of the hotel facilities.
Qualifications
·         Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade C- (minus) with at least C (plain) in English/Kiswahili language;
·         Diploma in Public Relations or its equivalent from a recognized institution;
·         Proficient in computer use and application; and

·         Initiative, team player and highly motivated

Qualifications

·         Diploma in Procurement and logistics or equivalent from a recognized Institution;

Female Security Warden

The Security Warden will report to the Senior Security Officer.
Responsibilities
·         Screen all persons and vehicles accessing and exiting the Institute and ensure a safe working environment;
·         Keep and maintain records of crime and incidences;
·         Secure scenes of incidence;
·         Keep custody and disposal of lost and found items including exhibits;
·         Investigate security threatening incidents and submit report to management; and
·         Liaise with other security agencies on maintenance of law and order.

Sales Officer

The Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD) wishes to recruit qualified persons on one year short term contract for the following:
Responsibilities
·         Implementing and promoting KICD bookshop policy
·         Implementing various distribution strategies for print and electronic curriculum support materials
·         Undertaking restocks of curriculum support materials
·         Managing stock at the bookshop and outlets; and promoting KICD bookshop policy.
Requirements for appointment
·         A Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education Grade C-
·         Diploma in either of the following: Accountancy, Banking, Finance or CPA II
OR
·         Diploma in either of the following: Sales and Marketing, Records management, Procurement Management/Information Management or its equivalent.
·         Relevant working experience.
