Responsibilities
·
Reporting to the Chief Officer
Finance
·
Planning, organizing, directing,
coordinating and controlling internal audit services
·
Playing a key role in maintaining a
strong control environment and supporting initiatives that improve performance
·
Undertaking capacity building for
staff at the County level
·
Establishing the risk based audit
plans consistent with County objectives
·
Developing leading capabilities in
terms of resources, methodology and technology and;
·
Communicating plans of engagement and
resource requirements for internal audit functions.
Requirements
·
Be a Kenyan Citizen
·
Have a Bachelor’s degree in Business
Administration, Accounting, Finance or related field from an institution
recognized in Kenya.
·
Masters’ Degree in a relevant field
from an institution recognized in Kenya will be an added advantage.
·
Be a CPA or ACCA finalist
·
Be a member of ICPAK or relevant
professional body
·
Be conversant with various financial
management computer packages
·
Demonstrate a thorough understanding
of devolution, the County development objectives and vision 2030
·
Have relevant knowledge and
experience of not less than seven(7) years in Public Service or Private Sector
·
Satisfy the requirements of Chapter
Six of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010

and Budgets, the Senior Principal Finance Officer, will provide high-level
technical support to the financial/fiscal planning function of the Directorate.
Requirements
·
Have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business
Administration (MBA), Economics, Finance, Commerce or in a financial related
discipline from a recognized university;
·
Master’s Degree in Business
Administration (MBA), Economics, Finance, Commerce or in a financial related
discipline from a recognized university will be an added advantage;
·

Be a practicing advocate of the High
Court of Kenya

Have at least five (5)years of
practicing experience
·
Have a valid practicing certificate
from the Kenya Law Society
·
