Project Details
Include:
·
Oversee development, creation and
organization of curriculum-aligned subject matter content and for learners to
use through the M-Shule platform, in coordination with the M-Shule team and
platform requirements.
·
Develop and implement streamlined
processes and structures to translate written content to a digital format,
categorize information, and track results.
·
Review and improve Math and English
knowledge maps based on theory, student skill development and mastery, and
curriculum requirements.
·
Review content database and content
creation processes, assess student needs, and make recommendations to improve
student learning experience.
·
Enforce quality assurance measures to
ensure all content meets a baseline level of excellence.
·
Manage content developers, editors,
and contractors in fulfilling all of the above needs.
Required
Profile:
·
Project management and design,
particularly in coordinating teams, setting and meeting deadlines, establishing
efficient processes, managing scope, and delivering quality results.
·
Extremely comfortable with ICT;
conversant with technical language and working knowledge of how digital
platforms interact with their content.
·
Background in primary education;
preference for experience in differentiating instruction, content development,
and lesson analysis.
·
Strong innovation, design thinking,
and “learning by doing” skills, with ability to conceptualize new ways to get
the job done and solve challenges in implementation.
·
Comfortable with business analysis
and implementing quantitative approaches to tracking results and making
decisions.
·
Strong independent worker with
excellent communication skills.
·
Enthusiastic and excited about
innovative opportunities in edtech in Kenya, and want to bring that to as many
learners as possible.
Preferred
Skills:
·
Experience with Math and/or English
primary classroom instruction.
·
Experience designing e-learning
courses or apps, preferably in text-based or low-bandwidth environments.

Expertise with research and theory of

Contract
Details:
Duration: This is a 6-month contract position that will begin by
November 2018 and last until April 2019. The contract then has the opportunity
to be extended or transition into a full-time position based on performance.
Location: Contract will be full-time and based in Nairobi, Kenya.
Compensation: Based on experience. We are an early-stage startup with

Communications Strategy for 2018-2019.

Maintaining the M-Shule brand identity.

Key responsibilities include:

Regularly engage M-Shule’s partner
communities to introduce new customers to our service.

Conduct trainings with parents,
teachers, and schools.

execute on new ways to bring on customers.

Build and maintain relationships with

Compensation: Initial
compensation will be set at net Sh20,000 per month plus field transportation
reimbursement.
