Strategy & Planning Officer

Job Description
Reporting to the Manager, Research and Knowledge Management, the job holder shall be required to assist in the management of the institution’s strategy, planning and performance contracting – monitoring, evaluation and reporting.

Responsibilities

·         Assist in collating data relating to implementation of the Placement Service Strategic Plan;
·         Assist in undertaking economic reviews of the Placement Service programmes, projects and activities;
·         Assist in the preparation of annual work plans for the Placement Service and alignment of the plans with the budget;
·         Assist in undertaking economic analysis of investments, programmes and projects;
·         Monitoring the implementation of the Placement Services plans and performance contract;
·         Assist in the preparation of annual work programmes and budgets for Placement Service planning and development activities; and
·         Undertake any such additional duties that are reasonably commensurate with the level of this post.

Qualifications

·         Have five (5) years experience in relevant work in the Public Service or Private Sector;
·         Have attained a minimum of Bachelors Degree in any of the following disciplines: – Statistics, Actuarial Science, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics Computer Science; Business Studies; Project Management, Monitoring & Evaluation or any other equivalent qualification from a recognised institution;
·         Be a member of a relevant professional body / institution;
·         Be proficient in computer applications;
·         Applicants with training in Monitoring and Evaluation will have an added advantage;
·         Fulfill the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.

Senior Assistant Corporate Communication Officer – Creative Design & Digital

Job Description
Reporting to the Manager, Corporate Communications and Customer Experience, the job holder shall assist in the overall creative design at the Placement Service, including development of creative designs, art works and layouts for advertisements, promotional/publicity materials and corporate publications through development of concepts that enthuse, enlighten, and attract our clients.

Responsibilities

·         Developing creative concepts, graphics, infographics, layouts and other visual information for communication with external and internal stakeholders;
·         Preparing artistic sketches/themes;
·         Reviewing final layouts with the user department and suggesting improvements where necessary;
·         Recording and developing photographic and video images of the Placement Services activities;
·         Developing digital/multimedia content and updating them on the Placement Services website and other digital platforms;
·         Coordinating advertisement and assisting in organising news conferences and other media events;
·         Preparing and maintaining an up-to-date media contact database;
·         Maintaining a library of publications and documentaries pertaining to the Placement Service;
·         Creating drawings, logos, letterheads, illustrations;
·         Keeping up with emerging trends in commercial creative design, advertising, publishing and digital communication; and
·         Carrying out any other office or administrative duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications

·         Have three (3) years experience in relevant work in the Public Service or Private Sector;
·         Have attained a minimum of Diploma in any of the following: – Graphic Design, Journalism, Photojournalism, Mass Communications, Public Relations, Digital Communications or any other relevant and equivalent qualification from a recognised institution;
·         Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite or related;
·         Video editing capabilities or ability to work with video editing software is desirable;
·         Fulfill the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.

Job Description
Reporting to the Manager, Legal Services and Corporation Secretary, the job holder shall be required to assist the management in the supervision of enterprise risk management activities.

Responsibilities

·         Assist in the preparation of annual risk management plan for the Placement Service;
·         Assist in performance of root cause analysis on identified risk events and recommend appropriate mitigation measures to prevent recurrence of risk events in the future;
·         Carrying out risk evaluation;
·         Monitoring timely reporting of risk incidents and analysing trends for reporting;
·         Preparing draft risk reports;
·         Identifying key risk indicators within the Placement Service;
·         Monitoring progress against action plans designed to manage operational and non-operational risks; and
·         Undertake any such additional duties that are reasonably commensurate with the level of this post.

Qualifications

·         Have five (5) years experience in relevant work in the Public Service or Private Sector;
·         Have attained a minimum of Bachelors Degree in any of the following fields:- Commerce, Economics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Business Administration, Finance or other relevant and equivalent qualification from a recognised institution;
·         Be a member of a relevant professional body / institution;
·         Possession of any of the following qualifications or other relevant and equivalent qualifications from a recognised institution will be an added advantage: CPA, ACCA, CMA, CRA, CRMA;
·         Be proficient in computer applications; and
·         Fulfill the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.

The job holder is responsible for carrying out procurement activities assigned by the Manager, Supply Chain Management that complete the procurement cycle while maintaining procurement records and preparing reports as may be required.

Responsibilities

·         Issuing bid documents;
·         Procuring goods, services and works;
·         Conducting disposal of stores and equipment;
·         Undertaking market surveys and research;
·         Managing and controlling inventory;
·         Preparing bid documents;
·         Maintaining and updating lists of prequalified supplies, consultants and contractors;
·         Implementing decisions of the procurement, tender and disposal committees;

·         Have demonstrated a high degree of professional competence, integrity and a clear understanding of supply chain management systems, processes, and procedures required in the function;
·         Be proficient in the relevant computer applications; and
