Job Description
Tea Machinery & Engineering
Company Ltd (TEMEC) is a wholly owned subsidiary of KTDA Holdings Ltd whose
mandate is to fabricate tea processing and other machinery. The
subsidiary compliments machinery fabrication with installations and supply of
parts and specialized consumables.
In order to achieve its business
objectives, the subsidiary is seeking competent, dynamic, highly qualified and
well-motivated individuals in the following exciting and challenging position.
Position Scope
Reporting to the Procurement and
Supply Chain Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring
timely procurement of goods, services and works; developing and implementing
policies, and administrative systems in line with budgetary allocations.
Key Responsibilities

national and organizational requirements

Adequately stocking/supplying of

·
Well running of budget with savings
where appropriate without compromising quality/quantity

Qualifications
The ideal candidate must possess the
following qualifications, experience and competencies: –

Bachelor’s Degree in Purchasing &
Supplies or procurement
·
A minimum of Four (4) years
progressive relevant work experience;
·
Be a registered member of the
Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supplies (CIPS), Kenya Institute of
Supplies Management (KISM) or any other relevant professional association;
·
Sound knowledge of the Procurement
Act
·
Must demonstrate high integrity and
ethical practice;
·
Must demonstrate ability to work
independently with minimum supervision;
·
Must be a team player who is able to
work cordially in teams;
·
Must demonstrate ability to
multitask;
·
Must demonstrate commitment to

Speciality Products Coordinator

Position scope
The successful candidate will be responsible for
supporting the coordination of special projects undertaken by KTDA such as
trade certification programs, TVAP and Bespoke manufacture projects/products.
Key Responsibilities
·
Participate in developing and gaining
approval of specialty tea and trade certification strategies in areas of
pricing, and communication.
·
Identify and develop potential
customers for specialty teas in the primary market.
·
Coordinate contractual agreements
between KTDA and Specialty teas customers.
·
Prepare sales performance reports
against production and demand forecasts and recommend appropriate action.
·
Participate in specialty tea quality
evaluation and benchmarking.
·
Participate in product improvement
and development targeted specialty tea markets.
·
Coordinate trade certifications in
liaison with Operations department and other relevant departments on issues
related to trade certification.
·
Respond to customers’ issues related
to trade certification and specialty tea after consulting the manager
·
Compiling reports on trade
certifications for distribution to relevant users.
·
Liaise with buyers on issues that
relate to their specific projects and products.
·
Ensure declaration of premiums for
all trade/sales of certified teas to both the factories and feedback to buyers.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate must possess the following
qualifications and competencies: –

Bachelor’s degree in a business
related field from a recognized institution
·
Minimum of four (4) years’
experience, 2 (two) of which must be in tea manufacturing.
·
Good communication and interpersonal
skills.
·
Good supervisory skills
·
Must demonstrate high integrity and
ethical practice
·
Must demonstrate ability to work independently
and effectively with minimum supervision.
·
Must demonstrate ability to
multitask.
·

co-ordinating in liaison with the Head of Marketing and Business Development
all Marketing and Business Development activities
Key Responsibilities
·
Preparing and monitoring implementation
of annual overseas and promotional budgets for the department
·
Managing prospects from initial
contact through to hand over to the sales team.
·
Preparing initial contact reports
with appropriate parties of potential client companies and qualify the company
(size, interest, etc.).
·
Managing/initiating /setup meetings
and engagements with clients; current and potential.
·
Screening potential business
opportunities in every market by analysing market risks and threats and make
recommendations.
·
Closing new business deals by
co-ordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating
contract requirements with business operations.
·
Developing/tracking/recording status
of new business efforts and/or other reports through the Business Development
Database and maintain the database as required.
·
Implementing approved Business
Development strategies and activities.
·
Undertaking new market development
through profiling of new clients and markets.
·
Analyzing and interpret all market
reports and recommend actions and decisions
·
Marketing customer trend analysis of
all direct sales on monthly basis in liaison with sales team.
·
Proposing potential business deals by
contacting potential partners; discovering and exploring opportunities.
·
Efficient and effective clients’ and
events’ management both local and global.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate must possess the following
qualifications and competencies: –

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or
other related discipline.
·
Post graduate Marketing qualification.
·
Minimum of four (4) years’
experience, 2 (two) of which must be in a reputable organization.
