Kenya Institute of Management (KIM) was established in 1954 as a premier institute that provides management consultancy and capacity building services to corporate organizations and other institutions. The institute has embarked on an aggressive expansion and growth programme in line with its strategic plan 2017 – 2021. To deliver this mandate, KIM seeks to fill the position of Officer Membership, Alumni and Students Affairs.
Reporting to the Head of Membership
& Business Development. The jobholder is responsible for engaging the
students and the alumni for mutual benefit and to grow the institute business
through the identified groups.

To deliver this mandate, KIM seeks to fill the position of Officer Membership, Alumni and Students Affairs.
Responsibilities
Managerial / Supervisory /
Operational Responsibilities or roles:

Manage the member life-cycle from
recruitment, renewal process and member benefit administration through vetting,
processing of certificates and membership certificates.
·
Respond to inquiries pertaining KIM
product and services for customer satisfaction
·
Convert live leads into business
through making follow ups
·
Collect, compile and process alumni
data to be able to constantly communicate on KIM activities.
·
Shortlist alumni for profiling to be
used in promotion of the institute.
·
Ensure that branches develop, plan
and implement value add non-academic activities for students.
·
Participate in preparation for
Business committee meetings.
·
Coordinate students’ attachments in
partnership with the corporate to give them work exposure
·
Participate in marketing campaigns to
get leads for follow up
·
Coordinate staff at the call centres
to ensure smooth running of the operations.
·
Organise membership committee
meetings and coordinate logistics around the membership events and activities
·
Manage member lifecycle from
recruitment to renewal process
·
Work closely with the departments
across the institute to maximize engagement with membership recruitment
strategy
·
Coordinate members recruitment at the
branches
·
Assist in organizing the membership
committee meetings and coordinate logistics around membership events and activities
such as fellow’s luncheons, corporate breakfast, women in leadership dinner and
communities of practice
·
Work closely with other departments
across the institute to maximize engagement with membership recruitment
strategy
·
Coordinate members’ recruitment by
the branches through processing of their applications.
·
Actively engage in marketing
membership to be able to be able to meet the set recruitment targets.
·
Review membership benefits to be able
to satisfy members’ needs through meeting their expectation.
Requirements
·
Bachelor’s degree in either Marketing
or Business Administration
·
Post graduate diploma
·
Be a member of Marketing society of
Kenya
·
Minimum work experience of 3 years’
in service marketing

Proficiency in computer use including
MS Office tools
·
Proposal writing, fund raising and
business development experience

Regional Branch Manager
Kenya Institute of Management (KIM)
was established in 1954 as a premier institute that provides management consultancy
and capacity building services to corporate organizations and other
institutions. The institute has embarked on an aggressive expansion and growth
programme in line with its strategic plan 2017 – 2021. To deliver this mandate,
KIM seeks to fill the position of Regional Branch Manager.
This position will be responsible for
management of the operations of Branches within the region assigned. This will
involve business development activities aimed at promoting membership services,
conferencing, training, consultancy and KIM School of Management products. The
role will further be responsible for planning, budgeting, coordinating and
monitoring activities of Branches within the assigned region to grow revenue
and support quality improvement initiatives for the Institute’s service
offerings.

Provide leadership through management
of the staff and resources at the branch to ensure efficient and effective
service provision at the branch level.
·
Develop and implement strategic plan
for the branch in line with KIM’s strategic plan and prepare the annual plan
for the branch.
·
Lead in the delivery of KIMSOM
products, membership and business solution services at the branch.
·
Responsible for quality assurance of
services in the branch through ensuring that all branch operations are within
the provided and approved procedures, rules and regulations and standard.
·
Constantly monitor costs at the
branch through to ensure cost efficiency.
·
Market the school and membership
through corporate visits, exhibition, school visits and one on one interaction
to be able to reach out to the target market.
·
Prepare reports such as financial
reports, academic reports and administration reports to inform management on
the progress plans and challenges of the branch
·
Represent the branch in executive
committee meetings and communicate to the branch staff on decisions made.
·
Supervise and allocate work to the
branch staff to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of work.
·
Overall in charge of the branch
performance and reports to management
·
Responsible for the branch budget
through preparation of the annual budget, generation of revenue through selling
branch services and approves petty cash expenditure.
·
Responsible for overseeing student
recruitment for registration for all courses offered at the branch
Qualifications
·
Must have at least seven years’
experience in a large organisation in an active commercial environment in which
at least two (2) years should be in a Head of Function role
·
Must be a holder of a master’s degree
from a recognized university
·
Must have a bachelor’s degree in
relevant field from a recognised institution
Other Skills/Competencies required
·
Experience in running branches is
mandatory
·
Experience with customer management,
marketing and relationship management teams
·
Good Interpersonal and communication
skills.
·
Proactive approach to problem
solving.
·
Willingness and ability to grow
support and develop talent within the Branch.

Branch Manager – Medium Branch
Kenya Institute of Management (KIM)
was established in 1954 as a premier institute that provides management
consultancy and capacity building services to corporate organizations and other
institutions. The institute has embarked on an aggressive expansion and growth
programme in line with its strategic plan 2017 – 2021. To deliver this mandate,
KIM seeks to fill the position of Branch Manager in a Medium Branch.
This position will be responsible for
provision of leadership and general administration of the respective branch to
ensure achievement of financial targets and successful promotion and delivery
of Institute’s service offerings.
