ICT Security Monitoring Risk Analyst

We are looking for an experienced professional with a strategic understanding of the security landscape who is able to enforce policies across security solutions by fine tuning security policies.
This is a high visibility role which forms a critical part in monitoring network activities and reporting on any security related anomalies. This role will also assist in ICT related security investigations.

Reporting to Head – ICT Risk and Control, the role holder will work collaboratively with the IT Security operations, ICT and Security Services teams to detect and respond to information security incidents, maintain and follow procedures for security event alerting and participate in ICT related security investigations.

Responsibilities 

·         Monitor and analyze the Bank’s networks for malicious activity using Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM) toolsets. This will include responding to and investigating alerts, assisting with developing new security monitoring use cases and ensuring all investigative activity is properly documented in the bank’s ticketing systems and followed up with relevant support teams.
·         Document all activities during an incident and providing leadership with status updates during the life cycle of the incident.
·         Provide analysis regarding intrusion events, security incidents, and other threat indications and warning information from various outside agencies.
·         Investigate intrusion attempts and perform in-depth analysis of exploits as well as providing network intrusion detection expertise to support timely and effective decision making of when to declare an incident.
·         Analyze a variety of network and host-based security appliance logs (Firewalls, NIDS, HIDS, Sys Logs, etc.) to determine the corrective or mitigation actions and escalation paths for each incident.
·         Conduct digital forensics and malware analysis triage and independently follow procedures to contain, analyze, and eradicate malicious activity.
·         Monitor open source intelligence sources for potential threats against the Bank, and ensure appropriate defensive actions are taken with respect to these.
·         Run vulnerability scans against Bank’s infrastructure, interpreting them and follow up with relevant ICT support teams.
·         Triage issues and escalate them to the ICT Risk team, and ensure that appropriate follow-up actions are taken by the IT security function.

Qualifications

·         Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or any other related field with relevant IT Security professional qualifications i.e. CISSP, CISA/CISM/CEH or other relevant security certifications.
·         At least 1 years’ experience in Security/Network administration with strong technical knowledge of database, network and operating systems security.
·         Knowledge of various security methodologies and processes and technical security solutions (firewall and intrusion detection systems).
·         Knowledge of TCP/IP Protocols, network analysis, and network/security applications.
·         Working knowledge and experience in penetration testing and vulnerability assessments.
·         Knowledge of common cybersecurity threats and sources of cybersecurity information.
·         Good understanding and knowledge of risk assessment, risk procedures, security assessment, vulnerability management, penetration testing.

Reporting to the Head – E-Channels and E-Commerce, the role holder will be responsible for Open Banking API propositions and will lead the ideation, conceptualization, implementation, management and enhancement of the Open Banking (APIs) strategy, programs, initiatives, research and projects i.e. successfully Open Banking (APIs) product delivery from concept to commercialization.

Responsibilities

·         Lead in new product development and implementation i.e. the conceptualization of new ideas, researching, and evaluating them objectively from a market and financial standpoint.
·         Manage the entire development process from conceptualization, design, delivery, launch and return on investment.
·         Promote product awareness via appropriate internal training and marketing as well as ensuring overall attainment of all cash management sales target.
·         Regularly review and monitor the sale of Open Banking (APIs) to current and prospective customers of the Bank in order to generate maximum income and return on investment.
·         Develop all customer wireframes and user cases, ensure optimal level of customer services, analyze all customer requirements, monitor all requests, and manage all defects in products for all monthly releases.

·         Administer and approve all final new product delivery and recommend improvements to all products and prepare all business requirements documents and ensure compliance to all product schedule and coordinate with departments to provide an effective interface.
·         Collaborate with information technology and business units to deliver all releases, prepare work schedule for all projects, and provide support to all strategies to achieve all marketing strategies.
·         Effectively determine Open Banking (APIS) strategy and pricing to expand market share.
·         Effectively segment the target market, gather market intelligence and identify opportunities for the bank to position Open Banking (APIs) in the market.

Qualifications

·         A Bachelor’s degree in a Business or Information Technology related field.
·         5+ years of experience in business management/product development & management/ system analysis in the financial sector.
·         Experience in regional APIs delivery with extensive knowledge in Open Banking.
·         Excellent knowledge of operational and systems user requirements for financial products.
·         Commercial awareness to understand and apply commercial and financial principles to business thinking.
·         Sound understanding of marketing principles, ideally backed with suitable experience.
·         Knowledge and effective application of all relevant banking strategies, policies, processes, procedures, guidelines and project management methodology and to consistently achieve required compliance standards or benchmarks.

Qualifications

·         A Bachelor’s degree in Business related field: Marketing, Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or any other relevant field from a recognized university.
·         A minimum 3 years’ experience as a Relationship Manager managing corporate and institutional clients.
·         Knowledge of various bank’s products and services including those that are being developed.
·         Knowledgeable in Trade Finance transactions and its associated processes with experience in corporate lending especially to state owned institutions.
·         Excellent understanding of credit, business and industry-associated risks profile of diverse industries.
·         Analytical and presentation skills for pitching proposals and responses to Request for Proposals and for preparing credit applications.
·         Demonstrate solid awareness in operational risk and quality while driving service excellence.
