Chief Information Officer
Job Purpose:

Reporting to the Chief Executive, the position holder will be responsible to devise the Bank’s IT strategy whilst ensuring that all systems necessary to its operations and objectives are in place. The Chief Information Officer will endeavour to innovate and contribute to the Bank’s advancement in terms of technology and methods of processing and managing information.

Key Responsibilities

·         Plan, implement and manage the overall use of IT within the Bank from a support and security perspective
·         Develop and lead on strategies to improve the efficiency and efficacy of technological initiatives
·         Select and implement suitable technology to streamline internal operations and contribute towards optimising their strategic benefits
·         Oversee the technological infrastructure (networks and computer systems) of the Bank to ensure optimal performance
·         Ensure the Bank’s data security by keeping abreast of the latest cyber security threats and implement necessary controls to guard against them
·         Guide and direct digital transformation in view of contributing towards leveraging technology
·         Monitor changes or advancements in technology to uncover ways the Bank can achieve competitive advantage
·         Analyse the costs, value and risks of IT in view of contributing towards the Bank’s objectives whilst ensuring full compliance with internal and external regulators
·         Provide strong leadership to the IT team through coaching, mentoring and talent development initiatives

Qualifications

·         Master’s Degree in the field of Computer Science and Information Technology or equivalent
·         15+ years’ experience in IT, 5 years of which must have been in Senior Management role
·         Sound knowledge and grasp of banking practices and regulations in relations to IT environment
·         Strong leadership and communication skills
·         Solid understanding of data analysis, budgeting and business operations
·         Excellent organisational and time management skills
·         Analytical mind and great problem solving skills

Chief Risk Officer
Job Purpose:
With functional reporting to Group Chief Risk Officer and operational reporting to Chief Executive, the position holder will be responsible for creating, designing and implementing a risk function that supports the strategic goals of the Bank and managing risk exposures within the limits of agreed risk appetite and limits set by Bank policies, BOM guidelines and other regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

·         Optimise the existing Risk Management system, regularly create and evaluate the Bank’s risk control data model, using external, industry and internal data, and the Bank’s risk control system
·         Responsible for developing Risk Management framework to assess the impacts of risk on capital adequacy, profitability, asset quality and other risk indicators
·         Formulate and articulate a comprehensive Credit Risk, Treasury-related Risk, Operational Risk, Market Risk, Liquidity Risk and IT Risk policies in accordance with Bank & regulatory guidelines
·         Implement the risk control system across various functional departments, including risk policy, credit review, anti-money laundering, data modelling and collection, to ensure the efficient operation of various departments
·         Establish fraud risk warning model and monitoring system, and quantitative analysis of risk data
·         Manage on-going risk quantification, assessment, monitoring and reporting programmes across the Bank
·         Responsible for stress testing, information sharing, clarification of rules & regulations, request of advice, reporting of incidences of risk and other risk-related compliance requirements
·         Assist Senior Management and Board of Directors in understanding risk, its measurement and control methodology; and provide support to the Board in its oversight of risk through regular reports
·         Effectively interact with the leadership at the Bank, the Board and Group CRO as required and actively collaborate with teams
·         Represent the Bank in front of regulators, legislators and other key constituents
·         Actively participate in Assets and Liabilities Committee (ALCO) of the Bank and provide critical input to help drive decision-making on the optimal level of Risk Return trade-offs on transactions, products and business segments

Qualifications

·         A University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics and/or Business
·         10+ years’ experience in Financial/Risk Management, 5 years of which must have been in Senior Risk Management role
·         Postgraduate qualifications in Finance or Business Administration will be an added advantage
·         Professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CPA and/or CISA
·         Excellent knowledge and understanding of Bank’s business, domestic and international market, global trends and regulatory guidelines (like Basel III and IFRS9)
·         Ability to conduct reviews and development of policies and procedures, and align them with best practices and RBI guidelines, IGAAP, IFRS, the Banking Act, Basel rules and other statutes
·         Ability to relate market/economy knowledge and events to business and transactions so as to discern and present risks that would impact the business

Head of Security
Job Purpose:
Reporting to the Head of Facilities Management, the Head of Security will be responsible to organise and oversee all security operations of the Bank in view of preserving a safe and well-protected environment for all stakeholders as well as the Bank’s assets. The job incumbent will also be called upon to develop and implement policies around such areas as security management and emergency response protocols.

Key Responsibilities

·         Enhance and improve physical security and security rules
·         Conduct security audit exercise within all SBM Premises and submit a comprehensive report detailing the shortcoming of the Bank premises along with recommendations to eliminate or mitigate any risk of instructions and enhance the level of security at each premise
·         Plan, direct and coordinate activities relating to the protection, safeguarding and security of company assets, employees, customers and other stakeholders
·         Design, implement and monitor security policies, procedures and programmes
·         Come up proactively with initiatives for security enhancement based on latest technologies
·         Serve as liaison with public law enforcement, fire and other security-related agencies
·         Ensure that established goals and objectives are accomplished within prescribed priorities and agreed time frames
·         Deal effectively with any emergency situation
·         Ability to effectively manage contractors’ performance and ensure service objectives are achieved

Qualifications

·         Degree or Advanced Diploma in Physical Security Management or equivalent
·         10+ years of proven professional experience in the security field at Management level
·         Proven experience using relevant technology and equipment (e.g. CCTV)
·         Sound knowledge of security protocols and procedures
·         Excellent surveillance and emergency response skills
·         Excellent communication and organisational skills
·         Outstanding interpersonal and leadership skills as well as high ethical conduct are prerequisites

Service Excellence Lead
Job Purpose:
Reporting to the Chief Executive, the Service Excellence Lead will be responsible to devise and implement quality management and assurance strategy and related policies across all our touchpoints. He/she will serve as a change agent, driving continual and sustainable improvement culture through consistent exhibit and initiation of Operational Excellence and Quality initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

·         Determine and manage SBM Bank’s attributes that are closely associated with the quality of output
·         Shape a strategy for quality and administer proper execution techniques
·         Capacity building in this area
·         Act as a catalyst for change and continuous improvement
·         Determine the quality requirements
·         Translate internal/external customers’ needs into specific, actionable, measurable performance requirements
·         Define the key measurable characteristics of key services and processes
·         Work together with stakeholders to evaluate the agreement between the quality performance and requirements
·         Demonstrating the ability and capability to confirm and fulfill the quality requirements
·         Leverage tools and techniques such as process behavior or control charts, statistical process control, measurement system analysis, and process capability analysis

Communications Officer
Job Purpose:
Reporting to the Communications Lead, the Communications Officer will be called upon to assist in the development and execution of the corporate communications strategy to enhance the corporate image of the Bank. The incumbent will also contribute to the development and execution of public relations (PR) strategies and tactics to enhance the brand image of all our products, services and channels.

Key Responsibilities

·         Contribute actively towards the development and execution of the corporate communications strategy
·         Develop and implement the Public Relations (PR) strategy as part of a marketing campaign to promote the image of the Bank and that of its products, services and channels
·         Develop and manage good media relations
·         Design and execute PR strategies.
·         Manage communications effectively in crisis situation.
·         Leverage existing PR tools such as newsletters, intranet and the website
·         Contribute to internal communications through various platforms
·         Drive influencer engagement and communication
·         Develop end-to-end brand content for digital channels such as social media, intranet and the website
·         Work closely with the digital team to communicate the right messages on social media networks and other digital platforms
·         Organise events such as media conferences, media briefing, product launch events and other PR events
·         Proactive and reactive in writing articles, both in English and French for the local and international media.

Qualifications

·         Bachelor’s degree in communication, journalism, public relations, languages, management or any business-related subjects
·         At least 4 years of professional experience in a similar position
·         Experience in digital brand content development is essential
·         Economic, banking or financial article writing will constitute an advantage
·         Experience in journalism would be a definite advantage
·         Excellent writing and spoken skills, both in French and English

Marketing Officer
Job Purpose:
Reporting to the Head of Marketing & Communications, the Marketing Officer will be responsible to orchestrate marketing campaigns end-to-end in a view to achieve clear business and marketing objectives within given timeframes and allocated resources.

Key Responsibilities

·         Design and plan marketing campaigns in view of targeting profiled customer segments
·         Leverage digital marketing capabilities of the bank
·         Understand customer behaviour and the customer journey in order to enhance the customer experience
·         Carry out a profiling exercise on targeted audiences to succeed in reaching profitable customer segments
·         Provide support to international marketing assignments
·         Develop optimal marketing programmes which will trigger the desired response from the target audience
·         Develop business cases for marketing campaigns and projects
·         Compute the campaign cost and manage the allocated budget
·         Measure and take ownership of the return on the marketing investment in the marketing campaigns by establishing metrics to assess the impact of the campaigns
·         Engage in effective corporate and product branding
·         Manage events and marketing communication agencies
·         Lead the marketing campaign team in order to stay focus on the quality of execution and results

Qualifications

·         Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Management or any related field
