Responsibilities
·
Conduct audits or lead audit teams in performance of IT audits and
reviews of systems, applications and IT processes. Prepare and report results
to executives and Audit Committees.
·
Carry out IT security audits (e.g. network, operating system and
data center), including evaluating if security vulnerabilities are properly
identified and mitigated. Coordinate the scope and performance of these reviews
with business units and external security experts;

Designs audit procedures to execute the annual audit plan, assess
controls and to meet audit objectives;
·
Perform various other reviews of IT management policies and
procedures such as change management, business continuity planning/ disaster
recovery and information security to ensure that controls surrounding these
processes are adequate;
·
Perform pre and post- implementation reviews of system
implementations or enhancements;
·
Carry out special audit projects and provides advisory and
consulting services to management;
·
Recommends revisions to audit procedures to enhance efficiencies.
Reviews internal controls throughout the company by evaluating the adequacy of
system controls and recommends improvements;
·
Evaluates the adequacy and timeliness of management’s response and
the corrective action taken on significant audit recommendations;
·
Maintains continued education requirements and regular and
predictable attendance;
·
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
·
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar qualifications,
with a minimum Second Upper degree class;
·
Recognized auditing/information system certifications ( e.g CISA,
CIA,CISSP)
·
Understanding of multiple technology domains including software
development, Windows, database management, networking, and UNIX (preferred)
·
Prior position in IT Governance/IT Audit – internal audit or
external auditing firm.
·
At least 3 years audit experience; With at least 2 of them in IT
audit
·
Progressive achievement in one or more of the traditional IT
disciplines (applications, operations, infrastructure, and management)
·
Experience with IT Operations desirable.
·
High level of independence and integrity;
·
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
·
Possess exemplary report writing skills.

Directly reporting to the Internal Audit Manager the Internal Audit
Associate will be responsible for conducting audits and reviews in accordance
with accepted professional auditing standards.
Responsibilities
·
Serves as the group’s Internal Audit Associate, performing
professional internal audit work as a key component of the corporate governance
structure;
·
Help in preparation of the annual Group Audit Plan;
·
Perform independent, objective assurance and consulting
engagements designed to add value and improve Cytonn’s operations as per the approved
audit plan, from pre-planning to finalization;
·
Developing audit programs and testing procedures relevant to risk
and test objectives
·
Evaluating the design and operating effectiveness of the system of
internal controls, adherence to Group policies and standards and regulatory
requirements;
·
Providing advisory and consulting services to improve efficiency
and effectiveness of the Cytonn’s operations;
·
Promoting dialogue and input from audit clients with respect to
audit objectives, scope and methodology;
·
Liaising with management to facilitate implementation of audit
recommendations;
·
Developing, disseminating and implementing auditing processes and
procedures for the Group;
·
Assist in the preparation of summary reports to the Board Audit
and Compliance Committee;
·
Performing any other duties as assigned by the Internal Audit
Manager and management from time to time.
Requirements
·
Bachelor’s degree in B.Com or any other business related degree,
with a minimum Second Upper degree class;
·
Membership to professional bodies (ICPAK/IIA) highly desirable;
·
Full professional qualification: Certified Public Accountant (CPA
K) and/or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and/or ACCA;
·
Minimum of B+ in KCSE;
·
At least 5 years audit experience;

repair work and produce daily and weekly reports on a timely basis on
maintenance and security issues to be communicated and escalated to the
facilities and property manager.

Conduct daily inspections of the property to ensure all assets are
secure, record and report any preventive and corrective repairs and maintenance
requirements to the Facilities & Property Manager for corrective action.

Produce daily and weekly reports on a timely basis on maintenance
and security issues to be communicated and escalated to the Facilities and
Property Manager.

Keep the grounds and exterior areas well maintained by clearing
any unnecessary weeds, debris and bushes growing on/around the buildings and
driveways.

Assume responsibility for the general security and safety of the
property by supervising security company engaged, review security reports and
daily occurrence books for accuracy and consistency and ensure all safety and
security measures are maintained at a high standard and any issues are
addressed as soon as they arise.

Supervise any contractor engaged to undertake repair work on site
by following the provided specification for each repair work. In cases of major
repair works, liaise with the Facilities & Property Manager to ensure
specifications are met.

Remain available to fire and police departments on a 24-hour call
basis in case of emergency.

reported issues.

Foster good working relationships with regulators to ensure
